Impressions of the DLC? Worth the $10 or wait for the next one?

I'm not really interested in the DLC until they add single-player missions (guess that's not until the Zombie one).

I just finished all of the single player trophies but I don't see how I'm going to be able to do the multiplayer trophies without boosting. Not without losing my sanity.

I got probably five or six minutes as a public enemy for the Most Wanted bit on Free Roam only to have some overpowered nutguzzler hunt me down all the way from the other side of the map. Dude. You know what I'm fucking doing. Step off, nutguzzler.

We would do that with 4 or 5 guys down at El Presidio. You just hole up in there and everyone covers everyone else with the cannons or on foot. When your 10 minutes is up, grab a horse and ride out the North entrance (by the river) and hug the shoreline for a very short trip to lose that Wanted status.

I was in the Armadillo saloon. It's not problem when dumb AI comes in the back door... but when a real dude comes in, he knows not to step out in the middle of the room, announce his presence and offer a formal greeting before shooting at me. I forgot to arm my shotgun when I saw him creep in. When I unloaded a few rounds of double shot on him, he blew me up with the semi-auto shotgun and I was toast. I quit. But I'll need a few good men for some free roam later this week...

Yeah, it's the real Rambos you need a posse to protect you from.

Just got my horse stolen from me for one too many times. Whistled for my horse and tracked down the female thief. Hogtied her and dropped her on the train tracks. Then waited for the train to come and finish her. Got the "dastardly" achievement. Awesome.

I did it from the roof of the Amadillo Saloon. There are 2 signs there that you can use for cover, it was pretty easy, but I think there were only 1 or 2 other people in my free roam session at the time, and none of them showed up in my area until after the trophy popped. Also, one other item of note for anyone attempting this. You do not actually have to stay "Wanted" for the entire time. Once you reach the $1000 bounty, you can just duck behind your cover, let your wanted meter go away, and wait it out until the trophy pops. At that point, you don't have to worry about AI anymore, and can just watch out for douchy people entering your area.

I think the only non-DLC trophies I am missing now are the trophies for having a full posse, all of the mini-game/FFA trophies, and the trophy for leveling up fully.

Take a look a this video Flipper in order for you to do the Most Wanted trophy by yourself. This video is good but the only thing that I did differently was that after you become Public Enemy, when you go to the tower, stay on the second floor instead of going all the way up, and stay in front of the stairs with your most deadliest weapon and wait out the 10 minutes and shoot any online or NPC coming after you.

Yeah I was just chilling on the second level of the saloon. The coppers had pretty much stopped bothering and I was just waiting... and only kind of paying attention at the time. I'd checked the locations of everyone on the map and they were all in Mexico. This guy had to come all the way from Escalera to finish me off.

I need the trophies you mention, the Most Wanted and the one where you ride from Blackwater to wherever. Does anyone know what time the game actually considers dawn? I don't want to leave Blackwater too early cuz that would suck.

I've almost reached the point of going this route, even though it's something I wouldn't have considered in the past. I'm tired of "completing" a game...and then completing it again...and then completing it again. And, of course, paying a premium for each piece. Especially when it's multiplayer crap that I wouldn't play for free if it wasn't for my OCD need for completionism.

Thanks, Lorenzo. I didn't even think about the Presidio.

6AM. If you leave Blackwater at 6AM, it should be very easy to reach Escalera before dusk.

Also I forgot that I'm also missing the trophy for getting 10 assists in a single hideout. So if anyone wants to go into a hideout with me and finish guys off after I wound them, hit me up ;)

Also, for the most wanted trophy, I've also heard that if anyone gets too close and makes you uncomfortable, you can exit to the outfitter. I liked the Armadillo rooftop because once you get up there and start using the signs for cover, as long as you stay under cover, it's hard for someone to pick you off without climbing to the roof themselves, and if they do that, then it's easy to get to them first.

Says the guy who invited everyone to get all up in his posse some time ago.

So I checked a few videos in Youtube and yeah, it looks like it's pretty simple. I tried myself some of the tips and I just can't do it.
Then I noticed something, the bar you see filling up in the left it's always red, or sometime yellow. In all the videos is always green. So that means that I'm always throwing too hard. Sometimes I'm able to hit the middle line, but the bard is yellow so my throw ends up sucking.
So how do I make the bar to turn green? I tried moving the right stick to fast, too slow, middle speed, it just turns yellow. I'm going all the way down and then back, getting impulse, etc.

I just can't do it. :(

Tried to hit it when the bar is somewhere in the middle of that small white line. I tried it and finally won my first match.

if you have the highest honor and fame, is there any reason to do the mini NPC tasks, except to maybe get a few coin?

Played a little with my buddy tonight who did buy the new pack and seeing him throw tomahawks around really made me want to buy it. I actually picked one up off his dead body and proceeded to wedge it in my horse's brain. Good times.

The best part is that once your 10 minutes are up, you don't even have to ride out, just go to Outfitter and the trophy should pop soon after. This is how I got my trophy.

Not really. If you want to ride right past them, it doesn't affect your game in any way.

I'm down to posse up and take turns knocking this pain in the ass trophy out. Lets try to set it up as some extra credit session through this thread and the Wed/Fri Rotating games thread to get a good number of people to help each other out. Let me know if you wanna do this so we can make a push for it.
