Lesson: play with people you know, all the time, always. Regardless of the game. It isn't RDR's fault.

You need to play in a public server to get some of the trophies.

And what trophies (or achievements of which I have all) require you to play with random people? You can't get screwed out of any of them, that I recall. The co-op missions do not require public play .

John's probably referring to the "Most Wanted" trophy/achievement in which you have to do it on public Free Roam and although you don't require to play with strangers, you're susceptible to fail when other players come hunting for you.

Ok, right, that's the only one that really sucks and, yes, it does help immensely to have some people you can trust to watch your back. Being "Most Wanted" in a public free roam is inherently dangerous :)

I'm still trying to figure out what the hell "anti-griefing" means

they now allow me to shave my balls before resting them on your chin....after I kill you.....

Actually....maybe they will let you chose your spawn point, or maybe you will not show up on the map for a few moments when you spawn...something like that I would guess.

Here's the update from Rockstar's site:

http://www.rockstargames.com/newswir...sights.article

We’d just like to let all fans and players of Red Dead Redemption Multiplayer know that we're aware a few rotten apples persist in the online world, trying to make the experience unpleasant for everyone else. Obviously, these Multiplayer modes can be great fun when everyone is on the up-and-up, so to ensure we preserve the integrity of gameplay for all online, we are actively working on new features to counter against the isolated incidents of abuse that go on.

Our next title update, planned for release on both Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network within the next month, will include measures to counter hacking and cheating. Those who have been detected to be cheating beyond a shadow of doubt will be promptly banned from the Red Dead online world for a period of our discretion.

Additionally, the title update will provide some anti-grief relief with some new features in Free Roam. Those who are being bullied repeatedly in Free Roam will be given the option to flee by Transporting and respawning in a region of the map of their choosing. And those who are bullying repeatedly will face a new challenge: when a player gets a 6 kill streak in Free Roam, they will become "Most Wanted." This alerts other players of their status as a player-killer, and also sends NPC law response after them.

Expect that we’ll continue to monitor the lay of the land and fight the good fight via future title updates to make sure everyone’s multiplayer experience is as fair and as fun as can be.

Thanks to everyone for all of your support and your patience - and we'll see you online...

I like what they are doing with the free roam it needs it. I have a minor problem, I deleted and reinstalled this game on my system. Even though I'm 100% complete the social club is only showing 17.6%. My question is how can I change this to show correct info(if any)?

is there a way to exit the game via in-game option? i can't seem to find if there is one, only went back to dashboard to exit.

also, can anyone find a detailed picture of the "War Horse"? i looked and can't seem to find one that looks like the one i have in-game. i dl'd the code and it unlocked, but not sure if i just auto. get the horse at the atart or go somewhere to get it later, likethe Assassin outfit.

the first horse i got from the get go has a white-ish back that lays on brown.

Look thru your inventory. You should have a deed for the war horse. Select it. After you have done that, call for your horse. The war horse should come.

i'll try that. i don't intend to pop it in again until after i got some Ghostbusters under my belt. popped it in just yesterday and had fun with the first ghost capture.

any idea of in-game exit?

ok, what inventory? i see options for map, outfits, journal, options, stats, multiplayer, social club, leaderboards, game. none had a deed in it. also, i have golden guns unlocked but don't see those under weapons, even though the gun i have looks gold.

**edit** i think i figured it out. it is under "Consumables" and there is a deed for War Horse. though i hit it and says i already own that horse and that i should save it. i guess i used it in the ride from train station to town, but it didn't seem like a different horse than any other. looked ordinary and i guess i thought it would look different as well which is why i was looking for a pic.

The golden guns are automatic, and replace your standard weapons.

There isn't one, unfortunately. To the dashboard it is.

I'm pretty sure you can hit the back button and exit the game. It takes you to the main menu, I believe. Just like every other retail disc game does. I can't think of a single disc game that has an "Exit to the dashboard" option. XBLA, sure.

Guide button I think is what he's talking about.

Scott, did you get a good deal on the DLC? Which ones did you end up getting?

"He" who? The guide button works for every game. In RDR, you hit BACK to bring up the menu and you select "Exit Game".
