How is the multi-player free-roam mode? That seems like the most intriguing aspect of the game.

I was in a valley and they were up on a hill and I was trying to line them up as they were taking shots at me. Then my posse rides up behind me to my rescue and like 6 horses go tearing past me and make the guys on the hill take off running as they're gunned down. I was literally all "Shit! These guys got me pinned down and I can't.........OH! YOU DIDN'T KNOW I HAD BACK UP!! YOU LIKE THAT SHIT?!" :lol: We were all rollin'! Super fun. |

Well, after reading all the praise here I picked this up today. About to pop it in and seeing as how much Xbox live ends next week (and with a full summer I won't renew until the fall) I am just going to barnstorm multiplayer. Posse up, folks: MrGarmonbiza. :p

I call my horse, and they, obviously pissed, re-spawn and come charging in on their horses...another dynamite, another 4 dead people, and 3 dead horses.... I get outside the gang hideout, and I am still pissed, and so I set up down far away from where they keep spawning. My friend is back at this time and he starts dropping them, and they keep spawning on top of a ridge....I get out my sniper, and one after another after another, head shot....after about 4 waves of this, they drop out of the free roam... Now THAT was fucking sweet revenge. |

I do suggest some single player. I don't find it easy to learn the mechanics of the game in the MP setting. Some of it isn't that intuitive.

One thing I don't like is how on the PS3 version crouch is assigned to the stick you use for moving around so I am constantly crouching when I don't mean to.
And I always hit square to stop my horse I guess since I am use to GTA, so instead of stopping my horse jumps. |

It took me hours to get used to stopping the horse and shooting because of the button layout. :lol:

So I finally made it to south of the border earlier today. Oh man, the music that plays, just incredible. One of my favorite video game moments ever, at least in terms of mood.
I also found respawning wolves so I maxed out on them in my inventory, I guess at 99 or 100. I'm not totally sure though. I love this game so much. |

Thought this was a good omen to how I usually play in multiplayer mode (which is horrible). First shot I kill for Red Dead Rock Star. Then for the next two hours out there I get my head torn off. :p
