AFAIK, there were no benefits for leveling up in GTA's multiplayer. Are we to assume this will be different for RDR?

There were different customizations that opened up by leveling. These were all appearances but some of them were comical.

My thoughts. You couldn't with GTAIV so I don't know why things would be different here. It seems that they would want to double whammy you to keep you playing longer.

If you could level up by playing single player, everyone would fly through the game and be powerful in MP.

The PS3 version is at 93.

Hmmm now it's showing the 360 version at 95 and PS3 version at 94.

I just don't see how the 360 version can be that much better graphically as some are implying. I understand that there might be some difference in framerate and it is usually caused by laziness. However, as far as a graphical differential there should be that big of a difference one way or the other.

Think this game is popular enough to sell out early? I was planning on picking it up in the early afternoon at Best Buy or something. Maybe I'd have better luck at a Gamestop?

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

I didn't preorder this game but plan on picking it up at one of the 6 Gamestops that are pretty much equal distance from me. (Chicago may not have any Wal-Marts but Gamestop decided to make up the market saturation around here).

What are the odds they make me feel guilty for not preordering?

Hadn't had this on my radar but the reviews made this day one for me. I'll be at Fry's in the AM tomorrow.

I'm in Chicago as well. Did you call the Gamestops to know that they will have plenty of stock? I know many of them are probably doing midnight releases tonight, but I'm thinking they'll have at least enough to last into the next day.

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

What I hate about Gamestop is how they insinuate that the only copies of the game they will have at first is the pre-orders. I really can't stand how they try to push pre-orders on you or to try to make you feel the heat (lies) in order to put money down up front. Like they're not going to have some extra copies after their pre-orders are gone.

Haha no I learned very quickly around here that you don't need to preorder just because of the sheer amount of stores located around me. I didn't preorder the last GTA and didn't do the midnight release and still had no problem getting a copy. I literally have around five or six stores that I would drive to. I know for a fact one of them will have a copy and I won't have to drive all over the city just to get it.

If I remember correctly you're pretty close to where I live so you're in the same situation. Or I am wrong.

Edit: Actually I'm not sure if it was you that lives close me (Lakeview)

Let's make this simple. This is you:

And this is Gamestop:

http://scrapetv.com/News/News%20Page...te-Shark-3.jpg

And this is everyone who pre-ordered from Amazon, received a discount, got a gift certificate for a future purchase, and got a special in game item:

Does that help?
