I didn't buy it, but received it as a Christmas gift on Steam, from my son:

^ Excellent remake if the series is your thing.

I played the original on the PS1. I am enjoying the remake. It was a bit frustrating, at first, because I hadn't had a chance to save, and after one of my deaths, I inadvertently okayed switching to the easier mode, from which you can't revert. So I just started over, and have been careful not to do it, again. Of course, if I accidentally did allow it, again, I could load one of my save points, rather than starting over.

It's pretty stingy on ammo, or I'm just a bad shot.

still need to finish this and Village which I’m at last boss anyway. Different games certainly in terms of perspective, but both good games, gripping, suspenseful. Genuinely creepy. How it began and now going back to roots. Hell the last two have been prequels more or less…with 4 being my all time fav game period. 4,8,7,2,3 and 1, my rankings. Haven’t played any other.

I’ve watched — let’s see — 6 episodes of Kamen Rider, which I guess is enough for me to feel compelled to import this.
