January 2010 NPDs - All is back to normal....

No official numbers yet but from Greenbergs Twitter:
Great NPD Jan results to kick-off 2010: Xbox 360 outsells PS3 333K to 277K, Mass Effect 2 does 572K units in just 6 days!

I'm happy to see Mass Effect 2 do well. Awesome.

I'm curious to see how Bayonetta did.

Sony is still selling a surprising number of PS2s (surprising to me, anyway).

Is the Xbox 360 selling more or the Wii selling less? Those numbers are too close.

I read on kotaku or one of those sites that ME2 has sold more than 1 million copies.

Any reason why Wii Fit is sold out everywhere? Is it some sort of new years resolution thing? I remember before Christmas, there were mountains of them available at every store. It'll be interesting to see how low the Feb numbers are going to be.

Congrats to the PSP for selling better than the PS2!

Here you can see where Bayonetta fell. Looks like ~100K for the 360, and didn't chart on PS3. Nintendo's dominance is amazing.
