DLC for 3/16. Who's joining P!nk and Cartman?

Hey gang,

Most of you have already caught the Lady Gaga announcement from earlier in the week, but next week Ms. Gaga will be joined by a few other rocking singles from Mute Math, 3 Doors Down and The Subways. Check it out! RBN DLC from this past week will be posted below shortly, so keep posted!

Available on Xbox 360 and Wii (March 16) and PlayStation 3 system (March 18):

Lady Gaga – “Bad Romance”
Lady Gaga – “Just Dance”
Lady Gaga – “Monster”
Lady Gaga – “Poker Face”

3 Doors Down – “It’s Not My Time”

Mute Math – “Control”

South Park – “Poker Face (Cartman version)”

The Subways – “Oh Yeah”
The Subways – “Rock & Roll Queen”

(All tracks are original master recordings)

These tracks will be available for purchase as “Lady Gaga Pack 01” as well as individual tracks on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 system, and as individual tracks only on Wii. Tracks marked with “+” are also available for download in the family-friendly LEGO® Rock Band Music Store.

Price:

$1.99 USD, £.99 UK, €1.49 EU (160 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360) per track

$6.99, £3.49 UK, €5.29 EU (560 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360) for “Lady Gaga Pack 01”

$2.00 USD (200 Wii Points™) per track

psyched about green day, but that sucks that there's no pre-dookie on there. would have loved at least Going To Pasalacqua, 2k Light Years Away, and Christie Road.

what is this rental trick you all speak of? do they usually include the code in the rental case?

Interesting about Gaga. I will probably get Just Dance and Pokerface. the 3DD will probably be downloaded too. Not a bad week.

I don't think no pre-Dookie is confirmed, is it? There's still half the setlist unknown and it's certainly possible. It's not like those songs are well-known to the people that need to flip over the box and see what's on there anyway.

There's always DLC and RBN if they miss the retail disc too.

Re: Rock Band Thread - This thread was made for Rockin, and that's just what it'll do

While I'm no Lady Gaga fan and don't plan on purchasing her DLC (though I do give a to Harmonix for also putting Cartman out, too), I'm glad her music will be on Rock Band. She's wildly popular and that's good for the game.

RBN is going to be a huge wallet suck for me, especially when more Sub Pop stuff is put on it. It's been months since I bought any DLC, but I got all of the Flight of the Conchords, Flogging Molly, and Stroke 9 songs over the past few days.

Too bad the navigation is so clunky. I'm very surprised Harmonix put it out like that. Why couldn't they make it like the regular store, with a listing of all the bands/songs in one place? Oh, well. I'll just go the MyRockBandSongs route when looking to see what's been added.

I'll probably add the MuteMath song. Not really interested in the other weekly or Green Day announcements.

Rock and Roll Queen is a nice surprise. Lady GaGa is a guilty pleasure of mine. Will be buying those and no longer need to bother with Lips.

Maybe there is nothing pre-Dookie because they are only going to focus on their major label released songs/albums?

It didn't work for Lego Rock Band because the export code was on a separate insert that was not sent to Blockbuster stores (they only got the actual manuals)....but since the GH series includes their game codes on the backs of their manuals, many people have just rented the games and used those codes to do track exports....I have personally done this with Band Hero and Smash Hits myself....

My Blockbusters don't give you the game case (or manual) when you rent the game, you get the game in a standard rental case. I just popped open a few of the game cases off the shelves at a couple nearby Blockbusters and got lucky with an unused code to import the Band Hero tracks.

Green Day took back the rights to those albums from Lookout! a few years back due to unpaid royalties. If memory serves, they were reissued on Reprise, the only other label they've been on.

I knew it was foolish to have hope that a couple of early songs would end up in the game, but the hope was still there.

Tomorrow will be the best day in the history of Rock Band. Literally every single gay gamer that I talked to over the past few days brought it up without me even having to mention it.

This is kind of funny, in that I did not know that Lady Gaga was an icon in the gay community. I just thought of her as someone with a lot of big pop hits.

I picked up a few tickets and took the family to see her in concert a couple months back, and, wow!, it was a like a Gay Pride parade in the theater with a huge gay crowd dressed in crazy outlandish costumes. The opening act, Semi Precious Weapons, had a flamboyantly gay lead singer who stripped naked during one of the songs while doing an in song costume change, and streamed profanity during the entire set proclaiming that the crowd (of mostly preteen girls) were all going to get laid that night amongst other profound statements.

Is this officially up on RBN or still in the peer review process? Not sure how this went unannounced or how I missed it. Sounds ok, might be worth picking up for parties.

According to the official Rock Band list, it's added. I'm more excited about Flight of the Conchords' Business Time though, which looks like it was also added yesterday.

Not that I'm surprised, but it should be noted that the South Park Poker Face song is technically a re-record, and not the version used in the episode.

How about some extremely bad PR:

Yikes! Seems there's still some bad communication going on.
