Just got a call telling me the computer network is down at work, so I will be home tonight. Not sure if I'll drive out to pick up the game though.

After seeing photo's of his dog. I'm now convinced that Slider is a 80 year old grandmother.

Origami managed to pay for and pick it up yesterday. Like a good Dad I waited with him at Gamestop then promptly went to bed after we made it home. I did watch him just long enough to notice that it looks EXACTLY like MW2. My Prestige edition has just been delivered by Fedex. Since he already bought a copy, debating on keeping or selling it.

Must be pretty devastating to find out that it was an 80 year old grandmother kicking your ass every week. I also have arthritis in both hands.

Don't forget that the grandmother is afflicted with Alzheimer's. How else to explain the team-killing / mass suiciding.

The team killing and random cliff diving is more a result of my glaucoma than anything else.

Really...I'm in like a 40 person long line at 6:30pm for this game. Why the fuck didn't I just order from amazon and just apply the trade in $$ to something else.

Had fun last night even thought the servers did not like groups of more than 4. I really feel like I need to learn the maps - had my ass handed to me a few times. I unlocked Sleight of hand Pro and Quick Draw Pro but have no idea how.

re: Weekly Thursday Call of Duty Night (PS3)

Some interesting tidbits from last night. I was playing around in the private match options and found some interesting things. Everything is unlocked in the private matches - Guns, perks, nades, attachments etc... Games are totally customizable and you can save created game types - up to 10 I think - I already made a Mike Myers file. - plus 3rd person view is back
There are some interesting modes in the private matches. You have all the usual stuff - TDM, FFA, Sabotage, Demolition, CTF, S&D along with Kill Confirmed and Team Defender. There are also some other modes - One in the Chamber and Gun Game return from Black Ops.
There is also a mode called Infected - which plays like our zombie games - as you die you become a zombie /infected.
Another mode is Kill the Juggernaut -which is like kill the carrier with guns. Everyone spawns in the game . after 15 seconds somebody turns into the Juggernaut and everybody takes him down and then someone else( I assume the one who killed him but it could be random) becomes the Juggernaut.
There is another mode called Team Juggernaut where each team has a Juggernaut and it plays like TDM.

re: Weekly Thursday Call of Duty Night (PS3)

wasn't there supposed to be a way to match up with people that are on the same level as you? i played this morning and my team of mostly under level 20 got owned by a team of all level 50+

not that i'm complaining because i had a blast, but still... would be nice to be alive for more then 6 secs

They really need to tweak the matchmaking.

I'm ashamed to admit I also picked this up yesterday at KMart. If I can tear myself away from Batman, BF3, NHL, etc. I'll show up for some shenanigans and provide some nice cannon fodder.

Really looking forward to trying out those Infected and Juggernaut modes, but I'll still miss Sticks & Stones.
