I was at walmart a couple of hours ago and it was already in the glass case. I tried to buy it but the register wouldn't let the clerk sell it. Oh well, I'll go back tomorrow.

How about I organize the league on the 15th and send out passwords? I just need some input on season length and if anyone else wants to join. When I get a chance I'll go through this thread and put all of the dvdtalkers and their teams in a list.

If anybody picks this up early I would greatly appreciate it if you could let me know if franchise mode has a the option to change the length of the seasons.

Once I get a chance to play with the configuration options I'll probably chime in with a suggestion for length/other options. I'll fiddle around with it after Warhawk tonight.

As somebody who headed many successful online sports leagues in multiple sports, the key is to err on the side of caution. Too many games/teams is a recipe for a failed league.

You need a supply of people ready to step in for anybody who leaves... vacancies are deadly.

And longer is not better. Enthusiasm can fade quickly; leave them wanting more. You can always follow up your league with another, if all goes well.

amazon is pissing me off. i selected release day delivery w/ amazon prime and got an email at 5am this morning saying it was 'delayed' but due to arrive on 3/2 (today). got another email at 7am saying its shipping soon. the order status still says shipping soon.... wtf amazon!

oh yea, i might be interested in the league as well...and ill be the yankees (im a die hard fan and surprised no one has picked them too) lol

initial thoughts:
10-minute game install
menus and set-up screens/music virtually the same as last year
checking out Home Run Derby now, you get to choose historic players as well, hello Babe Ruth!
nice touch, they show the reaction of the players watching off to the side when you hit a home run
