Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd
I think he got injured in a game I simmed. I believe I placed him on 15 day DL and called up a player....I don't think I played another game right after that.

Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd
Ok, lucky for you it didn't happen during a game you played.

i noticed that. but it only happened (for me atleast) in the third game of my three game series against them as the yankees. i ended up just simming the game so i could actually continue. thanks for the heads up!
From what I remember reading, the problem occurs if you go to the bullpen and then press select at any point after that. |

Why?
I explained the bug earlier but what happens is after the game where someone gets injured, the next time you go to play that game will show up as unplayed and you have to play it over again. The kicker is your players stats counted for the game and they used energy to play it but they didn't recover any of their energy back after the game. So after playing the game over and going back to play it the 3rd time all my players that played both games were completely out of energy. Imagine the havoc this will wreak on your pitching staff. Now granted I am assuming that it is the injury that is causing this because both times it happened to me it was after a game that Greg Dobbs got injured in. |

Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd
Does your opponent have to have the exclusive classic stadiums for you to play in one of those? It would be cool if you used one of those (assuming you have them).

Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd
good question. i have the classic stadiums and wouldnt mind playing a game against someone in one of those stadiums!
|
Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd
As long as the host has the classic stadiums, the other person does not have to. I've done this with a few people so I know it works.

Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd
I have become proficient in grounding out to the middle infielders.
40% strikeouts. 40% groundouts to the middle infield. 19% warning track power. 1% singles. |
Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd
The league will kick off tonight for those that haven't been checking in on the other thread. I have most of the teams in and will be activating the league tonight.

Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd
Awesome. I'll be online late tonight if my first opponent is ready to go.

Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd
I need the American League teams that are in the National League to switch back. The divisions are unbalanced and I can't activate the league until we balance them out.

Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd
The new 1.11 patch has caused a fairly major issue in RTTS that I have experience 1st hand twice and have seen confirmed by others online.
In both cases, there was 1 out with men on at least 1st and 3rd. I turned a double play for 3 outs, but the run still counted. I can't believe something this simple made it out as a defect considering it's been fine for years. Idiots. |
Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd
I've noticed with this years game, sacrifice flies have a tendency to credit runs that shouldn't count as well. 1st and 3rd with one out, and my opponent didn't tag up with his runner at 1st but did with the runner at 3rd. I doubled off the guy at 1st for the 3rd out but for some reason the run still counted. Pretty stupid.

Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd
Sooo... I downloaded the patch earlier and played a game in my season... I think it was in the second or third inning when I started the inning and I already had a runner on first??
|
Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd
Yeah, they are supposed to release a patch to fix the patch ASAP from what I read. I just said NO to the patch because I know about the major 3 outs, runner scoring issue.

Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd
Last night I booted up The Show and I noticed that the game is slightly windowboxed. I don't know if it just started doing that or if it has been that way all along and I just never noticed it before but it is bugging the shit out of me now that I see it. When I play RDR it fills the entire screen as does the dashboard. Is the game windowboxed for the rest of you?
|
Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd
I'll look later Max. I have my DLP on no overscan so I should see it pretty clearly.
|
Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd
So I have this game now if any of you guys want to play w/ me! Just the game tho. No other hanky panky assumed! =)

Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd
Ok. Weird that I never noticed before now. I wonder why it's like that.
|
Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd
Last year's was like that too. It's so subtle you can barely notice it. But if you play a different game for a good period of time and then go back to The Show, it becomes noticeable.
|
Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd
By default, it's windowboxed so that TVs with overscan will show everything on the screen. You can change this in the options menu so that it fits your display.

Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd
ok. so I played my first online games today! First game I think the other guy lagged out.. pretty sure it was on his end cause the next two games went flawlessly.
Game 1. I got my ass whipped 5-0.. got no hit(actually perfect game), but somehow i got credited with a hit. That was glitch 1. Glitch 2 was he got guys on 2nd and 3rd. I walked the next guy intentionally, then forced a ground ball, which hit the baserunner. (should be an out for both the baserunner and batter) Got neither out! lol. Game 2. Was cleaning this guys clock.. but he "Quit".. Guess we don't get stats from quit games. Oh well. I had fun. MaxFlier I got your friend request. I am on "vacation" all week so let me know a time that works for you and we can set something up! |
