It may be but I swore the FF/RW buttons on my remote worked fine with netflix before but I could easily be wrong.

As for my issue quitting the app, I recently got the Nyko Slim Media hub. Among the features (4 usb ports, card reader, built in IR sensor) is a slim remote which happens to feature a PS button (though it won't turn the machine on). I decided to remap my universal remote to it since my Nyko blu wave remote that I previously cloned into my Universal remote still needed it's own USB receiver plugged in even though the media hub already had one and both products were made by the same company (weird I know).

Anyhow now along with having more free USB ports and a card reader, I can easily quit the app from my Universal remote sans controller so I'm happy about that.

I wish there was a HD indicator on the title searching screen, rather than having to go into the title. Otherwise, I'm diggin' the update!

+1

My only other request would be an "exit" choice on the menu. It's a few clicks to get to the mapped "PS" button on my universal remote.

I got an email from Netflix about the apparent Instant Streaming outage that occurred yesterday. I wasn't even aware of it but after verifying the email was legit and there was indeed an outage, there's a link you can click that's specific to your account where they will credit you back 3% of your monthly fee. It didn't ask for a password or anything either so I'm pretty sure it was legit and not a phishing attempt.

Between the iPhone app, the new PS3 app, and the great customer service Netflix is really impressing me even more so lately.

Yeah, I got one too. I tried to watch an episode of 30 Rock Season One but couldn't get it to load on my PS3, so I just quit Netflix and then load it back again and I was able to load the episode.

Re: The Official PS3 thread - Software bugs? We don't need no software bugs

Apparently PSN has been down for scheduled maintenance since 10:30am EST and will continue to be out of commission until 7:30pm.

So now that I can finally get that export code for RB3 to work, I can't actually use it. Arrrgggh.

During this time you may:

* Not be able to access the PlayStation®Store
* Have difficulty signing in to the PlayStation®Network
* Not be able to play online games
* See a maintenance page when attempting to access the PlayStation®Network

Hey PSN+ers, check your email for the PSN Rewards program. If you don't see it yet (I don't have it), sign into the official Playstation Forums, and you should see it under the Beta message board. Open up the stickied thread, click the link at the bottom and then agree to be in the program. Bip, bam boom, you're done.

Of course, I already own Shatter (and Burn Zombie Burn). I'm pretty sure there are PSN games I don't own yet, but you'd never know it from this service.
Might grab Hustle Kings for 50% off. Then it would probably be the next freebie I suppose.

Well count me in too. I think my 80GB MGS unit just hit the YLOD. I was playing Force Unleashed II and it beeped and turned off. I let it sit and turned it back on, after a few seconds it beeped, red light, yellow, flashing red

I was already waiting for this. A friends MGS system did the same thing 2 nights ago, and we bought ours at the same time.

Cool. So can you view the standard Hulu fare without being a Plus subscriber, or is that mandatory?

Hulu Plus requires a second subscription fee just to see any content (except a few sample videos intended for demo purposes).

That seems weak.

If I hop on hulu.com I can watch the past few weeks of a given show at no charge. Why charge for the same content on a different medium?

It's not a different medium, Hulu Plus isn't just on PS3. I think they are trying to compete with Netflix streaming.

But correct me if i am wrong but on Hulu plus you still get the ads correct? So how is that competing with Netflix that has no ads?

walmart has a deal today and tomorrow to get the 320GB Move bundle with $50 gift card.

Target will have a bundle that comes with Force Unleashed 2 and Prince of Persia blu-ray.

Re: The Official PS3 thread - Software bugs? We don't need no software bugs

So, what is the general thought on the PS MOVE? Is it worth it? Since I need to buy a new PS3, I'm debating to get the MOVE bundle. Is it worth the extra $100 to get a 320GB HDD and MOVE?

Re: The Official PS3 thread - Software bugs? We don't need no software bugs

It's a pretty good deal if you want the motion controller anyway... The $100 non-system Move bundle is a good deal already ($50 Move controller, $40 Eye camera, $40 Sports Champions), and you're getting that plus a HDD upgrade. Combine that with the $50 coupon at Walmart and it makes it even better.

That having been said, I already have an Eye and Sports Champions (could always use an extra Move) and didn't bit on an Amazon Warehouse deal for the bundle that was around 330... mainly because I don't want to lose backward compatibility from my phat. Is the slim that much quieter?
