Just to bring this thread theme back for a second, while I was circumcising a little guy this afternoon while listening to Pandora, the song "Everybody Hurts" by REM came on. If there were ever a song that felt appropriate to do a circ to, that's it.

Just got signed out for another Dashboard update. Thanks for scheduling it during halftime of the game I was watching on the ESPN3 app for sports and sporting events.

Party chat supersedes that, though. So if you're in a party, you'll want to change the party options and switch the "Chat Channel" (or similar) to "Game Chat".

Or just don't be in a party. Be warned that if you're playing in a public game, you'll have to hear everyone else that isn't muted on that game chat.

I've been doing this with a buddy that isn't in the preview on Borderlands lately.
I can't get any chat to work at all with my non-previewed friends. It's annoying as hell.

I played some Co-Op Dead Rising 2 with non preview folks and in game chat worked just fine.

Yeah. I figured out my mistake -- I was inviting my friends to chat before launching the game. I didn't realize that constituted a Party Chat even if you don't invite to Party. (Maybe that's Private Chat rather than Game Chat). Either way, I got it to work eventually.

Hey, has anyone taken their controller apart to clean them? My 4 year-old son, in his never-ending quest to play Lego Star Wars for every waking hour, has managed to make some of those buttons super-sticky. I've seen on You Tube someone take theirs apart, but I'm still a little nervous about trying it.

Sweet. Took a bit longer but they finally showed just now. 600 so far and I'm 9 points away from 100 more. Not counting the weekly bonuses, anyone that is on the 20 plan should get roughly 400 more as well through the end of the month.

How did you get so many so fast? I think I signed up around the same time and just got to 500 today. I think I did the searches every day and the other special offers as well for the 3 points each.

I can get 20 a day for searches. Looking at CAG, that number is different for everyone.

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines

How do you turn off the Xbox 360 wireless microphone? I press the power button on the bottom, but the lights still flash. I try holding the button down for a bit, but that doesn't do it either. Microsoft's support page says it turns off after about 15 min of inactivity, but I don't want to waste battery life. My only solution for now is to remove the battery and reinsert it. Any tips?

Hold the power button for 2 seconds. They'll flash a couple of times then shut off.

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines

I've taken apart Wavebirds, Xbox-S controllers and a Sixaxis controller. Sixaxis aside, the other two were pretty simple. I can't comment on the 360 specifically though. Just keep track of screws and placement.

I don't recommend anyone ever taking apart a Sixaxis/DS3. Holy fuck, you take out the last screw and the thing literally falls apart into a hundred pieces. Not good when you need to see where things go before you begin to remove them.

What's the actual question? I believe you need a Torx set to get the screws out.

FU 2 demo was good. I'm glad they
Spoiler:
brought back chopping off limbs/heads with the saber, the first time I did it i ended up cutting 3 stormtroopers heads off at once and couldn't believe it. I didn't know they were putting that back in for this one after leaving it out of the first one.

Day 1 purchase for me.

That's one of the things that bugged me the most about the first one. "Why can I slice these R2 units in half but not any of the Stormtroopers?"

Looks like it still got a Teen rating, though.

The question is (or perhaps should have read) : Is it pretty simple and easy to take apart and clean 360 wireless controllers? And what screwdriver should I use (though perhaps you just answered that; I have no idea what a Torx is)?

You can get a set of them for about $5 at Home Depot.

Perhaps I already have one. I proudly possess what Jeff Spicoli would only characterize as a gnarly set of tools.

edit :Just looked online. I have stuff like that.
