Text "theevent" to 70734 for a chance at 1600 points. No idea how many drawings or anything that like that. This is sponsored by NBC.

Found out some more info.. looks like you enter once per day. Runs until September 30th. You can also enter once per day via Twitter, but you have to answer a question on a billboard on xbox Live each day. Looks like winners will be announced after September 30th.

More info on the twittering can be found here:

I entered this one, too. It seems like there's a new one every time I play MLB 2k10. I see them advertised all over the stadium

Quick question: the new 4gb Xbox... is the 4gb built in like a flash drive? Or if you upgrade to whatever hard drives are released, do you have to remove the 4gb?

My 360 died last night. I put in a repair request, apparently it was under warranty through September 14th.

I'm definitely looking at getting one of those new sleek ones.

Does anyone have a spare 48 hour Live trial card? Or know what games came with one recently? I'm in a bit of a pinch here...

Buh, do they not sell the rechargeable battery packs separately anymore?

I think one of mine is dead (and it really wasn't used that much).

They're really hard to find. I happened on a few at a local Toys R Us last year, as my two that I had just stopped holding charges completely. I think you can find 3rd party ones, but no idea what happened to the MS ones.

Mine stopped holding charges completely as well. I picked up one of the 1st party quick charge kits that came with an extra battery and it didn't do much better.

I've transitioned now to using a wired controller for most of my gaming (I got it to use for my PC) and regular old batteries for the few times we need the other controllers.

Oh, you can still get them with the cables for an extra $10.

Of course, if you already have one (or two, in my case).. that's not nice. :(

What's weird is that one of mine is completely "dead" unless I charge it with the quick charge kit. The play and charge kit will let it play but it does not charge. So maybe try that?

(also check amazon warehouse. I was able to buy some rechargeables for a couple bucks each a year ago.)

I just use rechargeable AAs.

I have one of these. "InCharge for XBOX 360". I think I got it from ThingFling or Dell or some other deal site one day for like $8. Charging cradle and 2 battery packs.

Where is the best place to get replacement power supplies? I was gifted a launch 360, but it doesn't have a power brick. How much do they run?

Yeah, another vote for rechargeables. Why pay more for a battery that only works in one device?

Yes they do! I made the switch to rechargeables this year and I wish I would have done it a long time ago. So much better--especially when it comes to the wireless guitars.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the two I got were deals from Amazon that included the controller too.

Back to the AAs I guess.

I use rechargeable AA's for most everything else, but it's nice to have a battery pack ready to just snap in when you need to since I often times find myself hunting for spare rechargeables, or realizing some weren't charged, or pulling them out of other devices

I have the same thing, probably from the same deal.

I normally would use rechargeable AA's myself, but I eventually found getting them in and out of the Xbox battery back to be a bit cumbersome. This charger is great -- I just wish the light would go out when it's done rather than blinking.
