So what the stores are probably doing is steering grandparents to the cheaper used copy, the guidebook, and a separate online pass purchase, and Gamestop likely makes more money that way than selling a new game.

how about someone stupid enough to buy a DIGITAL copy of a Madden guide?

Hey, if you're online on your computer, how else are you going to find help on playing Madden?

I guess you do have a point. There's no way you could find all that information on the internet, it's not possible.

And with that, Major Nelson Radio becomes unlistenable. Unsubscribed.

I wish I could do that. I mean, decide to stop working and see what I want to do with my life... at 40.

No shit. Now there's no one to provide a counterbalance to e's douchiness.

Wow, I dumped Major Nelson about a year ago. I like stepto and lollip0p but Major Nelson and e just became too overbearing for me.

The non technical description... he wields the ban-hammer for all of Live.

My Elite from 2007 may have finally given up the ghost. After my system rebooted in a recent windstorm, the console won't power up, even though the HD DVD attachment will. I guess I was lucky to have made it this long without RROD.

Has MS done away with the Rep system? A phone app for Xbox LIVE showed me having a :1star: rep which seemed weird since I almost never play online and previously was :5star: I tried checking my or my Friends' rep online or on the console and couldn't find any.

Still there when I view profiles including my own.

Well something is funky with the mobile online site, because all my Friends are showing up as :1star: and that clearly doesn't make any sense -- I mean some of you guys, sure, but not everyone.

moviepage and pinata both sent me messages last night to give you a negative rep...and I was unable to because we have never played a online game together...so you are going to have to talk to them... ;)

Dude, I'd have to dust so much out of the vents of my xbox, it's not worth risking a fire just for that.

I'm with you - I gave up on the show a while ago. Major Nelson is hard to listen to over an extended period of time.

That's being generous, he's hard to listen to period.

Which is odd, he started out and was pretty entertaining. As he evolved into a corporate mouthpiece and added e, it was too obvious they are just shilling.

Wait, you mean every game that comes on the Xbox isn't good?

Stepto started to become real annoying on his own when he just goes on and on and on about his nerdy friends. We get it! You know Wil Wheaton and Paul and Storm and Jonathan Coulton, move on.

I much prefer to just follow them on Twitter (stepto and majornelson), they're a bit much in large doses.
