I just played the demo for el Shaddai. Man, that was weird.

I'm not sure. Both? Personally, it didn't make me want to buy the game, but I know L&O loves it. I'd say the demo is worth a download so you can decide for yourself.

I was underwhelmed by the El Shaddai demo. Beautiful, but the platforming in the 3D segments is awful, and the overall gameplay seems to lack variety. I was already getting a little bored by the end of the demo.

I don't think it's not big enough to have it's own thread, but is anyone else playing Shadows of the Damned?

I was going to wait for a price drop. Is it worth sixty bucks?

Is most anything? I know it's worth a $4 rental! The game is fucking nuts. It's a crazy ass experience but no, I certainly wouldn't spend $60 on it.

Nope - I wanted to but reading how it's loaded with dick jokes makes me want to skip it. But what do you think about it?

I wish Redbox had it.

Seriously though...it is, but the gameplay is handled pretty well that I'm all in for the batshit crazy ride that the game is. It's like an insane mix of a ton of different games and then amped up to 11. Save points are a one eyed ghost that leaves a flaming pile of shit. You shoot goat heads to light up areas with your "boner" gun. The in game shop is a giant demon that you feed gems to that you pick up from killing enemies and then he pukes up your item. And on and on and on.....

Kind of the same appeal I had to playing Deadly Premonition. (Not that that would make you play it either obviously.)

I own DP - just haven't had the chance to play it yet. I got my annual allotment of bad dick jokes playing Bulletstorm already. Unless there's something absolutely special about this one, then I choo-choo-choose to ignore it.

Flaming poo, puking item demons, and boner guns just don't sound that appealing. In a video game.

Unless it was a new Conker game, that is.

I'd play a Conky game.

That's not Conky. Conky is the robot from Pee-Wee's Playhouse.

It's not sad that you suggested that. It's sad that you're one of two members here who've likely enjoyed that exact party.
