Demo has been released. Holy crap this game looks amazing. It does feel like a God of War clone but thats not always a bad thing. The demo also has a fair amount of titty in it. Hooray! I think I'm gonna have to purchase this one when it comes out.

Gold memberships are like $35 for 13 months. That's a pretty good deal. Very much worth it imo.

Played the PS3 demo a couple weeks ago I guess. Complete rip of God of War, but I don't care because it was so much fun. I very rarely buy games new, but I'll snatch it up once it hits

I feel with the stiff competition in action/advent. hack-n-slash coming up and the plethora of other new titles (esp. for PS3), this will be cheap fairly soon.

When it hits 30-40, Divine Edition (PS3) for me.

Other than the camera being a little annoying, I liked the demo. Not something I'll get right away, but will once the price drops.

I enjoyed the hell out of the demo (no pun intended). As someone who has always looked enviously at the PS owners with their God of War games, I'll definitely be picking this up.

There was a lot of talk about this on the PS3 thread when it hit there about three weeks ago. I was very unimpressed by the demo. It's kind of shocking how stunningly derivative the game actually is. It's a total rip off of God Of War, down to the smallest details, which I guess I could live with if not for the GoW3 demo which is SOOOOOO much better, both in appearance and in gameplay. I'd say if there's no chance you'd ever get a PS3, then go ahead and get excited about this game. Me, I'll stick with the far better original or at least slightly varied rip-offs like Wolverine instead.

Well with sky high standards like this, how could it possibly be a let down.

I thought the demo was just ok. Having not played God of War I would probably think it was better. As it is it just seems to be copying a lot from there, but not as well.

I thought the cutscenes looked amazing though. I definitely plan on playing through it when it comes out as well.

I really didn't like the demo. I thought it was completely unoriginal and trying too hard to be "cool" and "edgy".

i was one who was alwyas envious of Playstation and the "God of War" games. everytime i heard about it or saw clips and chatter about best game ever i really wanted it. love that type of gameplay so though i probably won't play the demo if "Dante's Inferno", i would be very up for a game that mimicked GoW in everyway for my newly owned XBOX.

Those demos have exclusive Gold-only windows for only a week or two. You'll be able to download it soon enough. You sound like the ideal demographic for this game. I have no idea why they made the demo a PS3 exclusive for weeks -- those folks would be less forgiving of it's blatant plagiarism.

Having played the GOW3 demo, I'll wait for this one to hit the bargain bin. Maybe not at all, depending on word of mouth/reviews.

you're right i was surprised i was able to dl it yesterday through Live. but makes sense now that you told me.

ehh...demo was ok. hack/slash, magic, ride a demon, etc...
best part was the awesome hand drawn animated cinematics.

Count me in on the "meh" side. I liked it but it's just God of War with a swithc from Greek imagery to Crusader imagery.

I will get it but only when it's on the bargain bin.

It's a complete GOW clone, but I loved the demo. I will probably get this on release date to hold me over until GOW 3.

If this is the only way to get GoW on the Xbox, I'll get it.

The demo for this was better than the entire Darksiders game!

I really enjoyed this demo. Pretty fun. I have never played God of War, but I decided to download the GOW3 demo from the District 9 Blu-Ray and I have to say, I liked Dante's Inferno much more. I realize that DI is a rip off from GOW, but at least from the demo, I enjoyed playing DI far more than the GOW3 demo. I am probably in the minority however.

It's more of a bad Zelda rip off than a GoW clone. You rarely fight enemies, and when you do it's arena-style waves of them until a barrier drops and you can progress through the dungeon. It's very tedious dungeon navigating and puzzle solving (spent over 3 hours on 1 thing in the 5th dungeon) and just not fun at all. Plus the graphics look like World of Warcraft
