Re: Batman: Arkham City Thread

Pretty cool teaser. Dunno what the guy at the end is talking about not being able to see his face though; you can see it on the holographs/projections and if you pause it just right (around 1:14-1:15) you can see a decent close-up of the face.

Re: Batman: Arkham City Thread

The Wall projections were used in Batman: TAS as well. Looks like they merged that take on the character with Jigsaw from Saw. The Riddler is my favorite Batman villain and he gets dumped on most of the time so I'm pumped!

Great teaser. Second half of the video is worthless.

Pretty sweet collector's edition. Saw it on Facebook, but can't find it anywhere yet for preorder.

Re: Batman: Arkham City Thread

I wish I would have finished the first one. There was a section about halfway through that I just got extremely frustrated and got rid of it.

Which part? Except for the Riddler Challenges, I found the game rather easy.

Yeah a friend of mine showed me that special edition last night. Normally this kind of thing isn't anything that interests me, but that set will be mine. Can't wait.

I'm curious as well. I didn't finish all of the challenges because I had rented from Gamefly, but I did want to finish the history/spiders challenge more than the Riddler challenges.

Re: Batman: Arkham City Thread

Probably the toughest section in the first game was the big chamber with the exploding gargoyles.

Yeah, that one room was pretty tough. I had lots of trouble running away from the Killer Croc in the sewer for some reason until I figured out what I was doing wrong, then I immediately passed that point.

Re: Batman: Arkham City Thread

I got a little more than half-way through the first one before my PS3 crapped out on my and made me lose my game-save. I'd like to replay it just to finish it, but who am I kidding, I'll never get to it...

Kevin Conroy hints at future DLC:

Professional Batman voice provider Kevin Conroy recently spoke to Comic Booked about his illustrious past and apparently infinite future with the franchise. On the subject of Rocksteady's upcoming Dark Knight simulator, Batman: Arkham City, Conroy shared some promising news: "The thing about Arkham City is that it's going to be an ongoing game," Conroy explained. "You're going to be able to download future episodes of it, so it's going to be going on for quite a while. I've been recording it for a while."

Loved the Penguin teaser
Spoiler:
and the surprise guest.

Great news about the DLC. If that's all story related and not just challenge maps, I'll gladly get the DLC.

Re: Batman: Arkham City Thread

I just hope they ditched the stupid fighting scheme when the bad guys would charge at you, that got old really fast and was easily the worst part of the game.

I neeeeeed this game now. That CE is pretty nice too. I'm such a Batman geek that it's going to be hard to resist the temptation to get it.

Rocksteady wasn't happy with the boss battles, or the ending. The reason those things are what they are is because the studio didnt have the time needed to do what they wanted. This was right from one of the video interviews with them from last year.

The only part of the game that I found difficult was Ivy's boss battle or the one with the titans/henchmen right before the finale with Joker.

She revealed that herself back when the sequel was first announced. That's hardly news.
