It looks like more animu, less Disney.

I think Roxas and Axel finally profess their love for each other and have the sex time!

Also, apparently the game has a meaty multi-player mode.

But I'm on media blackout so I won't know for sure until next week.

My copy arrives tonight! Amazon Prime Love! BUT, I'm dead in the middle of the climax (and 100% item search) of Metroid Prime 2 and I kind of don't wanna let that go yet. Maybe I can do half and half tonight? We'll see how well that works out.

I got this yesterday (<3 Amazon Prime) and did all the tutorial bits. Which took like an hour and a half. If you played KH before, you dont need the tutorial missions, but you gotta do em anyways.

Have any of the handheld games had any new Disney worlds, or do they mainly revisit the ones that have already been in the console games?

According to the IGN review, only recycled worlds.
I wouldn't have bought it if it weren't so cheap through Amazon. Hope to try it tonight. Love the LE slipcover. Nothing too special, but looks classy -- far better than the controversial PoP LE cover that I found totally disappointing.

I started this last night, but only got a short burst in before heading to bed as most of the night was spent scouring Aether for my last items in Metroid Prime 2. I LOVE how much the gameplay feels like the PS2 originals and I think I'll probably be addicted to the mission structure of the game.

Mine isn't scheduled to even ship until the 5th and even then it's just FSSS, so I probably won't get it until the 12th-ish. Oh well, I need to finish DQV and fire up M&L3 anyway.

Okay, I'm about an hour in now.. just finished the first reconnaissance mission. I actually don't mind the tutorial section of this one, it feels pretty brisk compared to that painful initial stretch in KH2. Plus, you can already tell this game is going to be a loot-whores dream come true, hehe.

Also, the game sounds GREAT on headphones.

I haven't played it, and probably won't, but I would say if you're going to give KH a try, it really makes sense to start with the first (if you have the means to play it). It's been a while, but it's definitely one of the better looking PS2 games, and I think holds up really well.


Question: do you all care about the KH story at all? I enjoy the games, and some of the moments are cool, but I find I enjoy these games in spite of the story. Hell, after part 2 I couldn't even tell you what was going on really.

The story in the first game was good and served the game and its setting well. After that it fell into a fanservice dribble.

I was actually joking when I made this thread's title but I couldn't have imagined how fitting it would be. My God.

I love the mission structure of this game. You run in, you kill stuff, you grab the loot and you bail out. That's how I love my RPGs. The Disney stuff feels almost non-existent still though, which kind of sucks.

I was hoping to do multi-player yesterday but my fellow KH fanatic hadn't bought the game yet! But we're going to be gaming next weekend so he's probably picking it up this week. I'm also working on getting another friend to get it and it'll probably be a birthday present for another friend whose party I'm hosting this coming weekend. So, potential four-player co-op shall be realized.

I'm on Day 96 (or something around there). I think I chose the wrong game to play first between this and Ys SEVEN, this game is going to be a time sink for me. For instance, I spent an hour or so doing Challenges last night so I could get a unique weapon and I'm constantly looking at older missions to see that I need to get more treasure chests or do the "extra credit" for the mission. This is really a nutso game for 100% freaks.

I haven't gotten into the plot too much yet, a few things are stating to become interesting though.

And not every day is a level/mission, sometimes it jumps ahead according to the plot.
