Hm, okay, thanks. I'll have to go back to each passkey then, I probably missed one.

I can tell you exactly where you missed it if you want...

Spoiler:
When you get the scuba mask early in the game, you can jump over the shelving it was on and go underwater. It's to the right.

I'm pretty sure that's the one. I just watched a video of it and I do not remember getting that one.

Chair Entertainment's Shadow Complex is officially the most downloaded single-player title in Xbox Live Arcade history, with 200,000 copies purchased since the game went live on August 19th.

We loved Shadow Complex, and so did you folks apparently, with stellar review scores and one-week sales so spectacular that Microsoft had to issue a celebratory press release. Multiplayer titles dominate Xbox Live Arcade, and single-player games generally don't perform nearly as well, but Chair seems to have knocked this one out of the park.

"Congratulations to Chair Entertainment and Epic Games for creating an outstanding game," said Scott Austin, director of digitally distributed games at Microsoft. "As the capstone title of the second annual Summer of Arcade program, "Shadow Complex" has raised the bar for downloadable games. We're proud to offer such high-quality content on Xbox LIVE Arcade."

I found the game to be one of the most complete game offerings ever made available on Xbox Live Arcade. I would have easily paid full price for it, which makes the 1200 Microsoft point ($15) so much sweeter. If you've not yet played it, it comes highly recommended.

It sucks to see that little "internet" boycott hurt the game's sales so much. :(

Cha-ching.

Announce the sequel already, Chair.

Good to hear, I wonder what the previous was for a "single player" game and what the top sales are for a multiplayer game are.

At this point I'm getting more and more sold on the fact that they did "underprice" the game and take a lower profit than they normally would've just to make it up with volume and advertising/word of mouth/press release opportunities. (Like the above.)

That's impressive, until you figure that with 30 Million units sold worldwide, that means only one game was purchased for every 150 Xbox 360s. What the hell is wrong with those other 149 people? (Of course, I expect that nearly half of those 360s are dead by now, but still).

Harumph. I've been trusting the question marks/dots and they pulled the two items in an area thing?

Keep in mind that given the RROD rate, of the 30 million units that have been sold, there's probably not too many more than 200,000 still in service.

;)

Same. There are also two items in save rooms, which are easy to spot assuming you are actually in the room. You can't tell from just the map, though.

I can't believe no one said that before.

Those numbers have to be a record for one week, not overall. Bionic Commando is single player only, and that was over 210,000 back in July according to VGchartz. Most games on XBLA do have a mulitplayer or co-op component, so it is difficult to say what the best selling is, but I would guess it would be Braid. That's single player right? I heard that topped 300,000 in sales, though VGchartz does not update their site like they use to.

Still there are games on XBLA that have sold over a million copies....

I'm starting to think you think you created the phrase "raised the bar".

All I can hear is this....

Gareth: What ones are yours that I use?
David Brent: Same shit, different day, that's mine. Exsqueeze me, instead of excuse me.
Tim: Wank you very much.
David Brent: Yeah, I invented that.

Bionic Commando Rearmed has MP. Local only, but it would still probably qualify.

Does Braid have local MP? If not, then Braid would be it I guess....

No MP on Braid. Although I never heard any final numbers for Braid. If it is in fact 300K then I'm completely blown away. I seem to remember it only doing like 50-60K in it's first week.

XBLA games that are good do not fall off the charts as fast as many retail games. That could mean that this game probably has a chance to approach 1 million.

Here is the last chart I can find of Braid...as you can see back in Feb is was getting close to 300,000. It may be closer the 400,000 now..

I forgot about Castlevania SOTN...that is single player and in april on the above chart it has almost sold 500,000 copies.

If you're a limbo fanatic and you think a game is really cutting-edge, would you say it "lowered the bar"? :hscratch:

That's not really a game changer. Set the bar on fire, or added razor wire to the bar might be a better analogy.
