Crap! More crappy Game Delay Craptastic News

Batman Arkum Asylum - supposed to come out this summer, now pushed to late August

Mass Effect 2 - pushed to 2010

God of War 3 - now looking at April 2010 release date

Splinter Cell Conviction - supposed to come out this summer, then pushed to Oct, now late Nov!!!

Starcraft 2 - completely off the radar now, who knows when it will be out

It's a bit alarming to see this many titles get pushed back so early in the year. We are sure to see more delays which leaves the question, will we have anything to play in 2009??

Oh yea, add Red Dead Redemption and Mafia 2 to the list. Both delayed to 2010, as late as April. Grrrrr.

Re: More Game Delay Crap News

C'mon, did you really believe that Starcraft 2 would come out "on time?"

I'd also rather them take their time making sure the game is complete and as bug free as possible rather than trying to shoehorn it into a certain launch period. Arkham was a surprise, though, mainly because they delayed it seemingly right before it was supposed to come out.

Splinter Cell Conviction was due for late last summer; either it's going to be truly amazing or a pile of garbage.

The two games I'm probably anticipating most are L.A. Noire and Hydrophobia. Has there been any news on them?

Whew, I thought it was gonna be either:

Bioshock 2
Assassin's Creed 2
COD: MW2
Dead Rising 2

*sigh of relief*.

Yup.

I had to check the date of the post. Mass Effect 2 was always going to come out in 2010. Batman Arkham Asylum was announced being delayed weeks ago. Considering we've seen close to nothing on God of War 3, I think we knew that wasn't going to happen.

Re: More Game Delay Crap News

I thought its been known for a while that GoW3 was due in March/April of '10, that Starcraft II would never meet a set date, Mass Effect 2 wouldn't be seen this year and that Arkham had been pushed back.

Oh well.

As long as Modern Warfare 2 isn't delayed, I couldn't care less.

Is it safe to say Call of Duty is now the biggest multi-platform series? Or does GTA still hold that title?

Personally, I hate it when games slated for summer still come out in the summer. DAMMIT!

Re: More Game Delay Crap News

I looked around for information on Red Dead Redemption and on another site it said it is still slated for this year. Is it certain that it has been delayed? I sure hope not.

Pretty funny that you people are quite happy with all the delays as long as COD comes out. Really, you don't mind having just one good title to play for the rest of the year? And there is no guarantee that it will come out in Nov. It could get pushed back as well.

Re: More Game Delay Crap News

Meh, the only delay on that list is Batman. God of War games are always spring games, not fall. Starcraft...its Blizzard! And Splinter Cell, that game has not had a video in 2 years before E3...I didn't expect it this year, so that's actually early

They're already airing commercials for it and hyping it to no end. There is no way it will not be out for the 2009 Christmas season.

Can the GTA expansion claim 1 million downloads in it's first week like COD:WaW's map pack? Granted none of the factors are the same, but even still, that is staggering. $10mil in the bank in 7 days for Activision.

Re: More Game Delay Crap News

Cross off another one on the list for Sept. Singularity delayed until 2010. July is barren, August too, will there be any freaking games for September? I guess 2010 is going to be an amazing year for gaming, assuming our country is around after swine flu, North Korea and economic meltdown.

Re: More Game Delay Crap News

Summer is typically dead so this is no surprise. Live Arcade/PSN is kicking ass these days.

Holy hell, I can't believe the 360 is almost 4 years old

Re: More Game Delay Crap News

There have been plenty of great games already this year and there are plenty more on the way. I'll likely be picking up Batman: Arkham Asylum, Beatles Rock Band, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, Halo: ODST, Brutal Legend, Dragon Age: Origins, Bioshock 2, COD:MW 2 and Left 4 Dead 2. Game delays are nothing new and saying nothing good is coming out sounds like bitching for the sake of bitching.

The Beatles: Rock Band
Scribblenauts

That's really all I need. A game I can play at home and never get tired of, and a game I can play on the road and keep me busy for a long time as well.
