Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
I don't know why I feel compelled to stick up for Eve 6--especially since I didn't like their "big" album, and really don't like "Inside Out"--but I still think Horrorscope has some damn fine songs on it, like "Promise," "Amphetamines," "Nocturnal," and "Jet Pack." Not much chance of those making it to RB, though, I'm guessing.

I actually think they touch upon that Grateful Dead vibe a little better than Phish or the Dave Matthews Band.
Now if I ever hear it, I can't get that hippie smell out of my nose. You know that smell...mixture of patchouli, weed, and body odor. Amazing what your brain can do even though it has been 15 years. |

Are we still posting ridiculous songs?

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
Great week of DLC. I was really hoping for Third Eye Blind to coincide with their album release but Eve 6 is pretty great news.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
Who the fuck is Dexter Freebish? I guess Canada never got subjected to them, because I've never heard of them.... and I'd be all for more so called 'bland' rock in RB - I'll take any 311 and Everclear I can get my hands on, which you mentioned earlier :)

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
I can honestly say I have never, ever, ever heard that song.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
Wow, I thought that song was pretty big. I guess the station I was listening to at that time was big on it. It would make a fine Rock Band song for parties.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
I never heard the one chuck posted either. However the one Kij posted is atrocious and fits right along with the nature of the thread derailment.

Hell, I'd take Crazy Town over Eve 6.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
I'm just glad we aren't getting SR-71.
May not be Miss Right but she'll do right now |
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
I would love all of the songs mentioned in the above posts.
Just sayin'. (except for Dexter Freebish, never heard that song before...) |

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...YL._SS500_.jpg (Well, except for Courtney Hole. I can't stand her.) Personally, I'm a big Better Than Ezra fan (yes, they're still around) and would kill to have "Good" as DLC. Was there this much hate for "My Own Worst Enemy" and "Lump" when the RB 2 tracklisting was announced? (I wasn't in to RB back then, so I'm honestly curious and not being snarky.) |

What's kind of sad is that I'm old enough to have played Lit on college radio before they broke through. They're pretty forgettable but aren't aggressively bland like some of the other bands mentioned upthread. I seem to remember a lot of the griping about RB2's setlist revolving around the female-fronted bands. |

Not that I remember, but considering that I've bought all the Presidents of the United States of America DLC that's come down the pike, I'm not gonna be the one to poke fun at them. :)

Sweet Jesus, there's a second volume.
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...iL._SS500_.jpg Candlebox! How could I forget about Candlebox?! |
Re: Rock Band: Official Thread
Look, know matter what your personal opinions on music there's one thing we can all agree upon: Fuck Nickleback.
Seriously. There was a song a few months ago that I told my wife that I felt weird because I actually liked a Nickleback song. Then I found out it was Theory of a Dead Man and I slept easy again. |

Their follow-up was quite disappointing though. |
