More interesting that just about the only way to knock out a Nintendo game is with another Nintendo game (or Tetris).
Rock Band is a no-brainer over Goldeneye, but I don't know if I can vote for Mario over Zelda or vice versa.
I guess in a pinch, I'll go with Mario.

Zelda all the way!
I don't care about either Rock Band (hate party games) or Goldeneye (revolutionary for consoles but crap compared to PC FPS).
Mario 3 is good, but Zelda is simply better.

Rock Band 2 - Two years and I'm still basically playing the same game. Other than my frequent returns to play Civ and Civ IV, no other game has kept me coming back for more and more and more. I don't understand how people dismiss Rock Band as a party game since I spend 80% of my RB time playing solo on career mode.
Mario 3 - Zelda isn't even the best Zelda game. Mario 3 is my favorite Mario. Mario advances.

Rock Band 2 - Overated but, still better than Goldeneye
Mario - Might as well get the confetti and championship hats made up.

I like Rock Band 2. It's grown on me, but how it made it to the top 4 boggles the mind.

Re: "Favorite" Video Game Tournament FINAL FOUR
I don't see an absence of a storyline that much of an issue either. Zelda's storyline could fit in a fortune cookie. "Link must rescue Princess Zelda from Ganon." Real deep stuff right there. You could change the names to Mario, Peach and Bowser and have the same story. Or Mario, Pauline & Donkey Kong.
In each of these examples(Mario, Zelda, & Donkey Kong), it's all about the gameplay not the story. Rock Band is all about the gameplay, not some generic story... see Guitar Hero. That's how it's made it into the finals. It has far more replay value than even the greatest of games and this tourney was about 'Favorite' not 'Best.'

I don't think there's a smiley with a big enough eye-roll to respond to your ridiculous post. Oh yeah, just because someone disagrees with your opinion, it must be because they haven't played it. Please.

Someone who has actually played Rock Band would know that there is a lot more to it than merely being a 'party game'.
That's not opinion...that's fact.

I'd have to agree with Corvin and Tarantino, Rock Band or any of the musical games aren't just party games. It's just one aspect of it, just like some FPS games aren't just multiplayer online games.

Re: "Favorite" Video Game Tournament FINAL FOUR
Whether RB is a party game or isn't a party game isn't really a question of opinion though. The sheer number of people who play it outside of party situations makes it conclusively not a party game. If the number was a lot lower then it might be up for debate as to whether it is just a party game or not, but in this case, it isn't just a party game. Some people might play it only at parties, but that doesn't mean that it is only a party game.
