Re: What are you playing? (May 09)

Well I did pick up Blacksite-Area 51 from Amazon along with Army of Two coming next week.

I'm about half thru Blacksite and the game is far better than the demo. Actually this is not a bad game at all. I grabbed it new for $17 with shipping and well worth it. Yea there are "bugs" like slow down and near freeze up in a few places but the storyline and play seems pretty good. And graphiclly it's really is a nice looking game with plenty of detail. For $20 and with coop play yea it's well worth it.

-GTA4 (had it since it came out on the 360, but never got into, hate the controls and still hate the controls but theres the story is great so far, missions are creative though on foot controls suck!

-Mirrors Edge (360) awesome game

-Pure (360)

-Silent Hill homecoming (360)

Re: What are you playing? (May 09)

Well my Army of Two did come in and so far so good. Kinda of actually surprised by the gameplay and graphics so far considering it came from EA Sports which is not exactlly known for action shooters.

It's played pretty good and the storyline so far has a feel much like Rainbow Six: Vegas and COD4. In fact the weapon choices are very similar as well. he map areas are well sized that has the COD4 look. The cut scenes are really sharp in detail that's right there with COD4 and RS:Vegas.

The AI can be a bit quirky at times and the controls (ordering your AI partner) may be a bit confusing at first especially when being firsd upon. For $20 (at Amazon and BB) well worth it so far and thanks to both Justin and Marc on their recommendation. Next up a bit of coop.

Re: What are you playing? (May 09)

Got the following in my rotation:

Xbox 360

Tales of Vesperia - 40 hours in, and still no end in sight, ugh

Half Life 2 Ep. 1 - not enjoying as much as the original, the pacing is so slow

Bioshock - 2nd playthrough, I killed all the little sisters my first time lol

PS3

Killzone 2 - game is freaking hard

Chronicles of Riddick - awesome

Civilization 4 BTS has been eating up a lot of my time on PC. That game is so addicting and deep.

Re: What are you playing? (May 09)

Just got done beating Klonoa (Wii) and I'll probably get the gems from the last level I need them in before moving to something else. I wish there were more great games like this out there. I've got nothing great to play.

Yeah, it is hard. Too darn difficult to properly aim and hit a guy at good distance -- but they have no problem picking me off (and I play on Easy).

Re: What are you playing? (May 09)

Finished Army of Two and still on Blacksite: Area51. Both offer co-op and I wouldn't mind going thru either...that's a hint Marc

Go back on some GOW2 horde here and there so to get the 1999 mark, maybe replay Dirt and by that time Red Faction will be out.

Hey Michael Corvin, how long did it take you to get the 1000/1000 on GH: Metallica?

Finished Area 51: Blacksite. Enjoyed most of the game except the ending. I really hope they have a sequel to wrap the story up.

Just started Xenosaga Episode one

1000? I don't play on expert so that's never going to happen. I also have zero interest in online play so that's a couple hundred I'm leaving on the table as well.

I went through the guitar career twice, and bass, drums and vocals once each. So I'm done as far as I'm concerned. The only thing left to do is play through with a band but none of my friends are into Metallica.

No-way...I finished Blacksite: Area 51 today as well. With the exception of some glitches and freeze ups the game was pretty fun and far better than lead to beleive. Visually it was really good and the storyline not bad at all.

Re: What are you playing? (May 09)

I finished Prince of Persia the other day. Beautiful game, and I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Next up is Bioshock (I keep getting half-way through)

On Deck: Dead Space.

And as always, I get a bit of Burnout Paradise and Warhawk in!

Re: What are you playing? (May 09)

I finished Clive Barkers Jericho which was forgettable and finished Overlord: Raising Hell which I had a blast playing through.

Now I'm tackling Infinite Undiscovery. I'm about 5 hours in and it seems ok, but not great

I started Fallout 3 over the weekend and it was the proverbial straw: I can't play first person games without getting nauseous.

I cleared out all of my first person games and put them up on Half.com.
