Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is hitting Xbox LIVE Arcade soon. Like, July 29th soon (as sorta rumored). Earlier this morning the Capcom announced that MvC2 would be a part of Microsoft’s annual “Summer of Arcade” promotion and confirmed that the price of the title will be a hefty 1,200 Microsoft Banana Dollars.
We’ve yet to receive official word on a PlayStation Network release date, but we’re guessing it’ll be either before or very close to the XBLA release date. In late April, Capcom released a PlayStation Network exclusive demo for the fighter. Obviously, there’s a strong tie with Sony present with MvC2.

What's with the lame fake MvC2 screen shot?
And 1200 points for a game without any real upgrades? SF2HD had so much more work done to it, why is MvC2 costing so much more?
That's a rhetorical question as I know that the answer is

They know the game is out of print, and a copy usually runs for $50 or more on eBay, so they can charge whatever they want. They know people will pay.

It's not "costing so much more" it's "costing" the same

1,200 points doesn't sound bad considering a 1,600 point card is $19.99. To be able to download this game keep it forever for a little under $20 sounds like a deal to me.
I haven't downloaded too many full games on XBox Live. I wonder how big this file will be.

30-50 MB at most, I'd guess.

Aren't the XBLA demos usually the full game downloaded, just not unlocked?

The download will probably be around 150 - 200mb for MvC2 (around the same size that it is for the Dreamcast and PS2).

It might not be that big, because since they have come up with ways to reduce the code, and also the big thing is they don't have to put in anti-piracy measures.

IGN reviews:
http://ps3.ign.com/articles/100/1008298p1.html
http://xboxlive.ign.com/articles/100/1008091p1.html
PS3 = 9.0
360 = 8.7
Seems that the 360 version has some minor graphical problems.

Between the better d-pad of the PS3 controller and the graphical issues, I'm going to wait for the PS3.

I'm not sure what to make of the graphical issue; it sounds like a front end glitch that can be quickly patched. As far as the controller, I use the SF IV fightpad and I friggin' love it. It's got such a nice big d-pad and is perfect for fighting games. I've got a fight stick (albiet a cheap Hori one), but I use the fightpad more. It's really nice for a cheapish fighting controller. Either way, it's the 360 version I'll be picking up.
