Wasn't X-Men a dual monitor game? Or am I thinking of something else?

I'm buying this for sure. I have the Xbox version but the improvements are worth it.

Is that the same as the one that was on the Sega Genesis? Because I remember that game being pretty awesome.

Played this quite a bit in the arcade in the student union in college. Good times.

Only thing im kinda dissapointed in is that you have all characters unlocked from the start. I know thats good for online play, but i liked earning all the characters. Wonder if maybe in the future we may see some dlc of new characters
I'm hyped for this as well, but I will miss unlocking the characters too.

Nope, the sega one wasn't like the arcade game. The arcade one was like the tmnt game but with 6 players.

Did you ever try unlocking all the different colored costumes? I'm glad they got rid of all that crappy unlocking =/

Maybe they'll include a code to lock everything? This is a bizarre conversation to be having! Though, I understand the desire for something to work for.

At this point I imagine they expect it to be played online more than not, so this just cuts to the chase.

In general, I am a huge fan of unlocking stuff, but I can't specifically remember how it worked in this game. Didn't you earn some kind of points that you "bought" characters and colors with?

Re: Marvel vs. Capcom 2 - Coming to PSN and XBL!

The initial reasoning behind locking up most of the characters was that it would be a nice surprise as to what characters you could play as. But now, everyone knows what characters are in this game, there's no need to keep things locked up.

Yeah, you recieved points and used them to unlock characters / colors. If I remember correctly the point costs to unlock a color kept going up and up until you unlocked them all. It was a lot of points to unlock all the colors for the characters.

Actually, if I recall, the points varied every time you went to the unlock screen. So if you were patient you could unlock stuff and not use a ton of points.

Damn, that sucks big time. It took about an hour to download and when I go to play, I can't, because I don't have a 2nd controller. Fuck you Sony for your PS3 exclusivity. You can't even get it right.

Bring on the 360 version.

Sony demands you have friends

I turned on the 2nd controller, kicked ass, and will go over to a friends house later to play.

I saw that too - damn! Now I've gotta go out and find a friend, or just pull somebody off the street and force 'em to play!

Re: Marvel vs. Capcom 2 - Coming to PSN and XBL!

Got the demo and it was fun. Just like I remmeber, except the awful late 70s porno music.

Will the game only allow you to pick 3 characters all the time or will they have a classic 1 on 1 mode?

Also, how do you switch characters while fighting? I couldnt figure it out.

Isn't that the way the XBLA demo for SSFII HD Turbo Remix was as well? I know there was no single player in that demo.

Yeah, I think so. But the 360 demo came out only 1 day later than Sony.

I don't really see a ton of difference between each of the filters, though the crisp for some reason seemed the best to me. Either way, this is a day one purchase for me.
