Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

Just hit level 30 and I haven't even started the final missions yet, and I still have a few of side quests and companion quests I can do as well.

If I wait for the DLC next week I could probably hit the new level cap before starting the actual DLC part:lol:

Anyone find some graves to dig up behind a safehouse or a shack? I am wondering if it is worth the time to try to find a shovel to dig them up.

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

Graves often have items in them, but nothing too great. I always kept a shovel just in case.

Raul3 12-14-10 09:56 PM

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

Yeah, I found a grave but didn't have a shovel and wondered about that.

I also need a key from almost all the groups to get access to some places in the wasteland.

Very cool. Looks Bioshock-like.

I don't have any use for explosives, other then the occasional grenade toss and to sell them. One of the companions is an explosions expert, so I gave them to her... before I had her executed.

I wish it listed what was fixed on those quests. I know that might be a tall order since it lists 41 out of 119 total quests, but I'd like to know if it's enough to be worth another playthrough.

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

Yeah, that seems like a pretty comprehensive and non-specific list. Now to wait and see what was broken by the fixes.

Finished the NCR ending yesterday...at 80 hours of gameplay, kinda meh. I will side with House and do that one next.

For me, the most satisfying ending was the one where I didn't side with any of the 3 main players (NCR/House/Legion).

How do you do that? I was under the impression you would have to side with someone... would that be the Yesman ending?

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

I was going to ask again how you can tell with the PC version which patch you're on, but I'm guessing since I noticed that empty syringes are now weightless Steam must have updated the game while I wasn't looking.

Here's a more detailed list of patch notes:

Also, I noticed that it says that Caravan-playing merchants will now only play with you a limited number of times. I guess that means I can no longer buy everything weightless that they have and then win all of their money every three days.

Really? That's the only one I've finished and found it extremely depressing. Totally ruined my day.

Yes, that's the yes-man ending.

The thing is, Legion sucks due to enslaving all the women and killing everyone they consider not worthy--so I don't really care that they take care of all the bandits since they're even worse than the bandits, NCR seems a bit better but they want to control everything and everyone and I don't trust 'em, House I guess is slightly better but he's just a sick old manipulative twisted bastard and hAs lived way too long, so for me that only leaves the other option as a semi-acceptable choice.

Yeah, it was 800 for me, too. I don't mind, though. I will play it later this week.

Dead Money might be the best DLC for Fallout 3/NV yet. I am a quarter of the way through and I like it alot.

I'd rank the DLC like this:

1. Dead Money
2. Broken Steel
3. Point Lookout
4. Operation Anchorage
5. The Pitt
6. Mothership Zeta

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

I got realllllly tired of having my head explode towards the end, but other than that I enjoyed Dead Money. It was a bit more challenging for me than the regular game.

MoviePage 12-26-10 03:23 AM

Re: Fallout New Vegas Announced

Although I liked the concept and the new characters, I really can't say that I enjoyed Dead Money very much at all. The environments were dark and unnecessarily confusing, and the eternally beeping collar is the most annoying videogame element I've encountered in quite some time. I couldn't wait for it to end and cannot imagine ever desiring to play through it again.
