It's a great party game. I haven't tried the second installment yet.

Great price for anyone who hasn't picked it up yet. And there is downloadable content too!

I got the original for about that price on clearance at Sears last year. Went ahead and got the game only for $20 today as I didn't need another set of controllers.

I will get the DLC for this eventually. I imagine that's easy fodder for a weekly XBLM sale in the future

I played the first one a lot with my family. This game got my parents playing the 360 just like Wii Sports did for the Wii. I just picked up this one (game only), but I haven't played it yet.

Me too. I have the first one so I don't need new controllers, and there's probably no resale value in them so it's not worth spending the extra bucks to try it. Looking forward to it, this has been one of my "You know, I'd like that game" games for some time, 20 bucks is the right price.

You're right. I figured this was a deal for the first game. The second at this price is a steal. So many games, so little time.

Hey Pinata,

I just got this game today, and since we are already on each others Friends List, we should play some time...

Sounds good, guys. Anytime. I actually played a random 4-player game last night and it was a blast. Neck-and-neck until the end.

This is a great series if not for the fact that after say about 10 long games it seems you have seen most of the questions. The only thing that seemed to keep the games going for me when I rented them was completing the achievements. But I will admit for this price a great pickup for casual gamers, especially those that use it for parties and whatnot.

I ended up getting both of the Scene It games and I find the questions based on a movie clip to be the worst. All the clips so far have been from movies made before my time. Has anyone had better luck with the movie clips?

The worst part about the movie clips is that sometimes the questions aren't answerable from the clip itself.

"Who directed this movie?"
"What other movie did Person A and Person B first collaborate on?"

Make the questions about the clip and we have no problem.

Krayzie, I have to ask then how old are you then? If they made this game with movies from say just the 90's and sooner they would seriously limit their consumer base. If anything hopefully this might lead you to look into seeing some of these earlier films. Personally I am 35 and because of my dad I have seen many of the films from even the 50' and 60's that they have in these games despite being born in the 70's.

Pinata, I partially agree with you, I definitely don't like the second question you have listed as well. Although it does sometime make me see other films that I did not realize the stars had done together. In regards to your first question though it does have relevance since it IS about the film you are watching the clip of. I suppose would you complain too much about it if it was an obvious director like who directed this movie and it was a clip of Star Wars.

I just feel the questions should be about the clip. Otherwise, why bother with the clip? You can always ask who directed a movie without video evidence.

I am 26. I think the movie clip questions would work well if the clips contained all the answers. I may be a bit foggy but from what I remember a lot of the questions weren't related to the clip. It's been a few months since I've played either game though so I may just remember the parts I disliked.

I'm not sure my parents would be good at this game. They're not from the States so I'm not sure how many American movies they've actually seen before the 80's.

Thanks for the heads-up. This isn't online-only, either. I went to my local BB today and expected to price match their website, but it rang up as the sale price (despite the fact that it wasn't marked on sale).

Between "Rock Band" and now this I'm going to have to have a party really soon.

I would, but I let my free Gold trial lapse last week. I never intended on upgrading any time soon since the games I have aren't really the multiplayer kind and I don't have many other friends with Xbox 360s. I was thinking about upgrading in the fall with the release of the new NCAA football game (or if I resubscribed to Netflix at some point), but maybe I'll do it a little sooner than planned. I could see myself playing a lot of Scene It pick-up games.

Sorry you misunderstood the part on your parents, I just mentioned my dad because it was because of watching so many movies with him that I was exposed to most of the movies from the 50's and 60's that are in the game.
My parents would probably care less about this game for sure.
