I still need to beat the first one. It got pretty repetitive, so I gave up for awhile. It sounds like now is a time to go back and finish it up.

Assassin's Creed is one of my favorite games this generation. It's pretty neat to play through the game with no HUD.

The first one got really repetitive so I had to take a break mid way through the game; still enjoyed it though. Hopefully the sequel will have a little more variety.

Im near the end of part one and I LOVE this game. Its the first time Ive felt inside a virtual world. Ive been playing the game forever and take my time with NO hud and NO fast forwarding memories. I dont feel its repetitive but the onlt thing Im tired of is walking around and fucking Guards getting pissed at me for nothing, next thing Ive got 12 guys on my ass.

So yea, I cant wait for AC2!

Ditto. This is a first day purchase for me.

Flying? That sounds lame. I thought a big draw to the first game was wall climbing, jumping and general acrobatics.

You probably fly on one of Davinci's contraptions. I doubt we'll get Superman flight abilities.

I like where they're going with this one. The first game was fun at first but got extremely boring and repetitive all too quickly. Hopefully they'll downplay the future scenes as well and make the cutscenes skipable.

It's more like gliding. I guess you could go up on top of a castle or hill and use it to glide right into the middle of a town.

Like others said, got to finish the first one but despite a few flaws really a nice game.

Now for those who like this they may want to take a close look at Codemasters upcoming Damnation. It's got a feel of AC to it as far as movement but with a shooter in mind. Seen some of the video and it's not bad at all. It'll be interesing as to what they do with AC this time around.

That's cool. So it wont be using a flying contraption and more like the leap of faith from the first game?

And does the magazine mention if the new character will also use parkour to travel through the cities? That's pretty much the only thing that kept me from totally giving up on the first game.

Thank god they aren't going the ninja route with the game.

I'm hoping they scale back the size/amount of the cities so they can concentrate on adding more detail to make every part of the city feel distinct and unique. The first games cities felt repetitious and lifeless, and that just added to the monotony of the missions.

They already have a great foundation from the first game.

As long as you use protection.

I absolutely loved the first game, so this is going to be a no-brainer for me.

That's so awesome. I'm glad the character looks the same but a new setting with new moves.

Sorry, but I loved the design of the cities in the first one. They seemed 'accurate' to me. I know it's only a movie, but AC1 had an Excalibur (movie) feel to the cities, which I felt was believable.

I think it's interesting (and cool) that they switched from the blue-gray to a more true (green-ish/gold-ish) hue to the game. That alone will make it feel different.

Good looking stuff. It'll be interesting on what new moves will look like and do. Nice touch with "water" this time and probably couldn't have picked a better city either.

Somehow I lost my copy of the first one, it should be pretty cheap used at Gamestop by now.
