Is HALO3 still popular?
I know some new maps are about to be available....(4/9) but does anyone over the age of 13 still play? I got on the other night and got violated ( verbally and physically ) by a bunch of kids!!! Why does everybody want to be a sniper? CoD has been my cup of tea for the past year.....Have I matured?.... or just moved on..........

I still enjoy Halo quite a bit. I don't have any issues with kiddies. Then again I, A. play late at night, and B. set my console to mute everyone but friends. Very enjoyable.

Play in parties with people you know and ignore everybody else. Makes life easier.

Still playing Halo 3. The only problem I have is that I get killed really fast.
I mostly play Lone Wolfs, so they are really quick matches, no more than 5 minutes. And I don't have to hear people's voices. Sometimes I play the Team based games and they are fun too.
And yeah, I have all the DLC.

So how are the new HALO maps? Since I do not play on a regular basis....should I purchase now.........or wait for the price drop? or....are the maps good enough to make me stop playing CoD for awhile? ........????
Thanks,
Rub

I actually just ordered Halo 3 last night off Amazon for $36. Looking forward to playing with my brother and our buddy. He's been on my case to get it for months now.

This was my problem when I jumped into HALO early this year, I was just getting killed too quick and it was disheartening, atleast with COD4 and WAW, I kinda stand a chance and hold my own. If dvdtalkers probably start having a halo night, I might get back into it.

A large number of us folks from 8-Bit Brigade play Halo every night of the week. You are welcome to get into some games with us sometime. Friday and Saturday nights are the big nights when it isn't uncommon for us to front 2 full teams on various playlists.
Kick me a friend request or even go check out our site and look for friends there.

Great to know. Next time I see you playing I'll send you a message.
BTW, this weekend I discovered Griffball and I got hooked. Although Halo is one of my favorite games I don't play a lot of team based games, most of my friends used to play Gears 1, so I ended up playing Lone Wolves most of the time in Halo. This weekend, thanks to Kenshiro, I started playing Griffball and it's really fun. It's like playing Madden with 7 other guys, or something like that.

Checked out that 8 Bit Brigade site, looks promising. I play with a core bunch of people COD WAW and Gears2 and it's tons of fun, and since I got a 360 just recently I missed on some cool older multiplayer games.
I'm gonna give that griffball a chance.

Re: Is HALO3 still popular?
I had a pretty good time on Friday night. My group of friends' levels range from 20-30, but we won pretty much the whole night. Even matches where we were totally outmatched (matching us up with multiple level 40+) we managed to stay close enough to have a respectable loss. I guess it helps balance out the crappy nights where we lose for hours on end.

We do retro nights every so often when everyone all agrees to play an older game on the same day. Our most recent one was Shadowrun. We have also done Team Fortress II, Halo 2, Chromehounds, and Battlestations on those nights.
