I've only had a few minor issues with streaming speeds since updating. Are you using the most current version of TVersity?

I had some terrible issues the other night playing a VOB file. I don't know if that was because of the new firmware, or if that's just because the PS3 doesn't mount vob files. (The film was jumping back and forth, hiccuping in fact, between the french audio and the english audio.) I should probably try out some other vob files.

I just started using PS3 Media Server. Plays nice with my Iso and Vob files. I haven't test the audio stuff much yet. It supports 1080p mkv files as well. Good times.

What firmware version are you using?

3.00

However, I just went to check and I checked out some other VOB files and they played perfectly fine. So I think it was just that one.

I was wondering, can I d/l a PSP game to my PS3 and play it on there?

I would like to get GoW Chains of Olypmus but it will never come out for the PS2.

You can download it to your ps3 only to transfer it to your psp. You can't play it on your ps3.

The reviews are all over the place. I need to try this one myself. It seems to get really slammed for its load times, but I think it is something I would enjoy and want to pick it up.

It sounds like it's just like the import (but with Trophy support). It's kinda boring, but nice for a change, I suppose. The load times are brutal and the save times? Don't ask. But sometimes it's kinda cool to sneak around and take nice pictures of virtual wildlife. I don't regret buying it for $30.

Yeah, it's okay for $30. I wouldn't spend more than that on it.

Soo... I updated from 2.8 to 3.01 for that Pain expansion the other night. [sarcasm]I absolutely LOVE how the XMB defaults to the Playstation store on every tab. [/sarcasm] Congrats Sony, you have just made your dash worse than the xbox ever was with ads. Thanks.

^^^I think there is a setting to change that.

Re: Official PS3 Thread - March 09 Edition

The real irony is that the new settings are designed to feature what's new in the store, but as everyone knows, there's nothing new six days a week there.

I hated this as well, but you can turn this off so it doesn't do this. The Store tab will be there, but it doesn't default to it. You can also keep it from starting on the what is new thing.

I don't like how now they have at least three different places for the store link. It's where it always was, but now it's also under games and videos. Like I just wouldn't be able to find it.

Re: Official PS3 Thread - March 09 Edition

All of the Store icons wouldn't be so bad if they added stuff everyday. But when they can't even add enough stuff at even a consistent time once a week then there is no use for more that one store icon.

Cool, I'll have to check this out. Thanks!

ETA: Got this up & running and am pretty pleased so far. I also downloaded the world internet radio station update, which give you access to thousands of interent radio stations. Anyone know how to add internet TV choices? The only two channels right now are French.
