The best games were late in the night, with you, R2 and nic on one team and Steve, Sean and me on the other.

And thanks to those of you who recognized that Sean needed some space to build his confidence.

Happy New Year my fellow Warhawkers!!! Hope we can still enjoy the game as always and I hope the "balls" fall to celebrate the New Year!

We could try to re-enact, but I'm not sure it would be nearly as good.

I see R2 and Nic have also picked up CoD MW2. Digi and I have been having a blast playing Spec Ops. I'm not sure how many players can play a Spec Ops map, but maybe the four (or more, depending on who else has this) of us can get a TDM or Free For All match going on sometime. Don't mean to take the Warhawk thread over, this is just the best way to reach the four of you, haha.

To keep this post on topic, umm, BALLZ!!!121!!

3AM, going to bed. Talk to you all later.

Yeah, the spec ops are fun and frustrating. Cant believe I was two steps away from the helicopter last night and then got bum rushed. That was a fun op though. As best as I can tell though the spec ops only go to 2 players though. I would be up for some TDM, but I suck so you may want me on the other team :)

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

I am so bad against the computer it's not even funny. That first round you had 95 kills and I had 15 or something. Pretty sad, haha. Seems like you've been practicing, or you're just picking it up a lot faster than I am. That round where we were on the roof top defending that small yard in the snow was quite a bit of fun, the restaurant one was frustrating because they never let up. The helicopter one was fun, too. After I played inside the chopper I realized that I could have hung back and let you knock out most of the enemies, I read the instructions wrong and thought I was supposed to clear the way for you because of people with explosive weapons.

If nic and R2 can, I would be able to hop back on when you guys are done with the expansion levels on Warhawk Tuesday night. Unless you guys get tired of games after three or so hours of the Hawk.

On TDM I usually have a 2:1-3:1 kill to death ratio, so it will be nice playing some TDM, because unlike Warhawk I will be the one who has to take it easy on everybody. It's truly a strange world when I feel the online stuff is easier than the versus CPU stuff. I have about 75 hours of online game play racked up since the street date, and you guys collectively have about 10 last time I checked. You seemed able to hold your own those couple of TDM rounds we played together a few nights ago, so I'm sure you'll do fine and will probably be whooping my ass sooner than later.

I picked it up tonight as well at Target while it was still 40 bucks. I am godawful at it but I'd be down for playing it as well. After all I can't be much worse at it than I am at Warhawk ;)

Especially since it seems like while more people on MW2 have Headsets than the general Warhawk or Killzone 2 community, I end up having to mute them because they are annoying as hell which I never have to do with any of you guys.

<--- Wishes he had a mute button right now.

Games I wouldn't mind hooking up for:

Uncharted 2 (horde mode)
Borderlands (coop)
Burnout Paradise (challenges)

But Tuesdays are sacred, and if any of you motherbleepers plays an Activision game on Warhawk night, there's going to be a TOW on your tonsils and BALLS on you chin! Believe it. ;)

Yeah, the restaurant one is impossible on single player, you just get overrun way too quickly. I was very surprised we were able to survive what we did. You got that mic coming? ;)

I am down for some MW2 after warhawk on Tuesdays, after I ball frizby. As far as the coop/single player stuff, the only thing that is really different is that when you aim down your sights it will do some auto aiming for you to the next computer guy that is within your generally view. So, you do a lot of aim down sight, shot, aim down sight, shoot, repeat...and oh yeah, dont run guns a blazing into any area as it is all trigger based and someone is always waiting unlike multiplayer...well, MP certainly has its share of campers. I agree on the Helicopter one though...when I was first in the chopper I didnt know what you were seeing down there so I didnt know how to support you...so, that is why I switched us after a couple of times through so we could both understand each aspect of the mission.

Im down for all of those, especially Borderlands as I just picked that up and it is lonely out there. Got it yesterday and started playing last night and got my soldier up to lvl 11.

I haven't picked it up yet but plan to. I know flip has it as well.

Did you get it for PS3?

I need to get my hunter to Lvl 50. I think I'm at 43 right now. digi, if we can get a coop game you'll rack up the experience by playing with me because you'll get all the experience from my kills as well... (all baddies will be at my Lvl).

I am PS3 only, so, yeah, I got it for PS3.

Flip, I am up for that I suppose, although would I just be sitting in a corner watching you kill everything? Dont suppose you have a character you want to build up that is closer to my level? :) BTW, I can play most any day after 10pm CST for any arranged matches/coops...otherwise I may or may not be on after 11pm CST on any given day.

On the microphone front -- I'm looking. I need it to be under $30, have a mute button, and be wired. I'm looking on Amazon trying to find something that will work, but the reviews are often so mixed that I'm having a hard time finding one with a good mute button and what not.

I was thinking about getting this one at Best Buy but my local store didn't have it so I ended up getting the Sony Official Bluetooth one.
This should meet all of your criteria. If you look at the alternate images, you can see the volume rocker and mute switch.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Dynex%26...dset&cp=1&lp=4

If they don't have it, there's this one too for $5 less (should be in the gaming section not sure if the first one is in the PC section or not)
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Rocketfi...cketfish%20ps3

I thought about the Rocketfish one when I found it in store but unfortunately the mute button looks like it has to be held down and isn't an on/off switch but a click to mute button. That alone made me decide to pass on it and I went with the Sony wireless one.

Having said that, probably my one annoyance with the Sony Official Headset is that while the mute button is great and super easy to reach, the headset beeps every like 30 seconds while muted. There are times where I'll mute myself since like one person is talking and I'll just keep myself muted until more people start talking and this makes it really annoying to do that since it's constantly beeping in my ear. All in all though I'm happy with it.

You can play just like normal... really... just do more evading. :) I tried this with gator_shea and you still get in the action, you almost have to. My other character is a Lvl 5 Siren. We could go that route as well... but I should try to get her leveled up some before we do that. She can't do much of anything yet.

To quote Flip...at least I think it was Flip...

"WARHAWK BITCHES!!!"

p.s. to digi: I'm just looking for an under $40 price point on Borderlands.

I use the official bluetooth headset and it works fine for me. The only thing I did wrong while using it is leaving it on mic open where it picked any noise. Now I have it on push to talk but sometimes I press the talk button by accident or when I really need to say something I forget to press the button.
Is this the Warhawk thread?
