Thinking of a mode for that...TDM...everybody switches to one team except for "the hunted". The hunted gets a two minute head start while everybody else aims at the ground. "The hunted" can use whatever they want...mines, tows, etc, but mostly just hides. Objective is to survive for as long as possible...or maybe die as few times as possible.

Basically, it's hide and seek (and kill) in Warhawk.

Who wants to volunteer?

Thinking a little more on this: if the Hunted is found and killed, the finder becomes the Hunted. If the Hunted is found but kills the finder, then the finder respawns but is out of the hunt and can't give up the position.

What if one person finds the hunted and another one kills him. That is what happened with me.

In that case, everybody just hunts Slider.

This would probably happen quite a bit. I think the killer, no matter how it happens, probably becomes the hunted.

Exactly what I had in mind. Something the size of eucadia or island outpost would be great.

I wouldn't mind trying it. I don't think we need to worry about weapons though, the objective is just to find them, right? Even if the Hunted wins the fight, the other person will give up the spot.

"Hiding with a TOW"? I don't see that happening.
I'd do it. Hide near or under a Warhawk with a TOW on board...TOW the first motherlover who finds you...find a new spot.

I think the position will already be given up though. I'd imagine it will play out something like Pac Man vs. where the "ghosts" are constantly talking about where they've looked and what they've found.

Then the Hunted needs another period of time to rehide.

Nope...located and on the run.

If it's all hiding and seeking, it will get boring and somebody like Digi (or me) could just kill your dumb asses and rehide.

Once the hunted gets found and killed, you should jump ahead to the next map and let the killer hide. If you can do that in Warhawk.

Warhawk doesn't work that way. It's a set rotation of up to ten maps for 5-30 minutes each, and they only end when time runs out or the score limit is reached.

It's awesome that it's simple, but it doesn't allow for customizing on the fly.

The Hunted is a go.

Figure I'll do it around the middle of the evening...need to think really hard about the map. I'm leaning toward Eucadia or Island Outpost since they have plenty of trees and potential hiding places. The map needs to be big, but not too big...just big enough that we can cover the whole thing in 20 minutes.

Slider is it. I figure by 5-6 maps in, he'll have douched it up plenty and will be fun to hunt.

Basic ROEs...and I'll announce these at the opening of the map:

1. Everybody switches from The Hunted's team
2. Spawn and aim at the ground for the first two minutes...I'll announce.
3. The hunt is on...make sure we're talking to each other about where we're going etc.
4. When The Hunted is found and killed, whomever kills him gets two minutes to run.

In the future, we may just have The Hunted run and tell us when they are ready...but you know...Slider. -ohbfrank-

Saw this in my daughters DVD and I giggled like a twelve year old. Either Elmo's been playing Warhawk with us or he's as juvenile as we are.

Two minutes seems like a very long and boring time to be doing nothing. I say give them 30 seconds tops, they have the choice of either trying to arm themselves with mines and whatever or just hiding.

30 seconds probably isn't enough...play it by ear.

How about 2 minutes or when they say or PSN "ready"?

I have a parent/teacher meet n greet tomorrow.

Will load up the 9th and 10th maps at 6:20 and let them run (probably a DM and a TDM). Lobby will start at 7PM sharp but I probably won't actually be playing until 7:30.

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 10:52 AM.
