Re: What are you playing? (March 09)

360:

Still trying to finish up Dead Space. I'm close to the end, so it shouldn't be too long.

PS3:

The PS3 is getting a lot of play this month. Playing Ninja Gaiden Sigma (which is a bitch to beat-BTW, does anyone know how many chapters are in this game? I'm on 13) Motorstorm, and Resistance 2

Wii:

This is still the filler system. Played a little Boom Blox and still trying to finish Super Mario Galaxy.

Call of Duty WAW
Resistance 2
Tried out Street Fighter IV but decided it is just SFII with fresh coat of paint and I sucked and hated it.
Will be picking up Killzone 2 and MLB 09 this weekend.

Re: What are you playing? (March 09)

I wasn't too much into Fable 2 when I started it, I had just finished Fallout 3 and that's hard to follow....But it grew on me. I was mostly good in Fallout, I went bad in Fable, although there's still bad stuff I could do (I don't own the Temple of Shadows, for example). The people in Fable 2 were much more fun to be bad to.
As long as you manage your expectations, and think of it as a lighter action-RPG it works well. I enjoyed it, and though the side quests weren't of the variety as Fallout's, there was enough variety and personality in them that I enjoyed most of them.

Mass Effect - about 2,3 hours in. Definitely a slower paced game so far, very reliant on the story and surrounding universe. It doesn't load often, but when it does, my goodness. Is the announcer in the elevator the same guy as the VO in Crackdown?
Equipment management is a little awkward so far, but I'm getting the hang of it.

Re: What are you playing? (March 09)

I finally got around to buying Lost Odyssey a bit back, and have been hooked. If I knew I was going to have this much fun with it, I would have played a long time ago. Over 55 hours in already...

I think I'm finally going to pick Bioshock up and play it this month. Anyone have any advice if I should buy the ps3 or 360 version? They are both $30 in my area.

I think people were saying it looked slightly better on the PS3 and they added a couple features as well. Like some more toxins, an extra difficulty, and some chamber mission mode where you just go through waves of badies. So unless you really want the achievements, I would say PS3 on this one.

Wii:

World of Goo

PS3:

...finishing up Bioshock. Hate to see this game end.
NHL09 (started a new franchise!)
Rock Band 2
Flower
Noby Noby Boy (hopefully I'll figure out what I'm doing soon)
...and when Bioshock concludes, bring on Fallout 3.

Finally got around to playing Orange Box on the PS3. Just finished Half-Life 2 and it was a blast.

Re: What are you playing? (March 09)

PS3 SFIV - did some challenges and this week, i'm ready to go on-line, gonna kick some major butts

LBP - still trying to ace the MM's MGS levels (trophies) and tons of community levels (Little Silent Hill and God of War levels rock!) The Nintendo ones are hilarious as well. Man, too bad that the creators don't get pay for them...

KZ2 - trying to beat the single player first, then some on-line (just for the trophies). If i like the on-line, meh, have a little bit more fun, otherwise something else.

Flower - not in the mood for anything else? This is it...

Rock Band 2, as always.

I'm also playing and loving GTA 4: The Lost and Damned, as well as Peggle Dual Shot. Once I finish Lost and Damned, I may finally start on Fallout 3 in earnest. The fact that I'm getting MadWorld in 2 days may delay that, though.

Picked up the orange box as well last year when it was on sale, man I can't believe I haven't played it, I'm having too much fun with this game, when I got the gravity gun, I was just tossing stuff and trying to shoot it.

So after Braid and Half Life2, I've been in gaming bliss the past couple of weeks.

Re: What are you playing? (March 09)

Just finished:

Spider-man Web of shadows...decent game but some of the quests were tedious. Also, the game has some serious lock up and glitching issues that apparently occurs on both the XBOX and PS3. It made playing the last part of the game very frustrating.

Re: What are you playing? (March 09)

Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection

I'm going through all of the games getting the easy achievements, but while I'm doing that, I'm realizing that this collection has some really, really fun games in there! I never would have realized how good some of them were if it weren't for this collection.

5 Stars in my book, based on the quality and quantity of games, the value and the multitude of unlockables and special care they took when they put the collection together.
