Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest
Crap. I've deleted a lot of games that I had installed in the past. I just figured that it would delete the install, I had no idea you needed to "drill down" in order to avoid deleting save games.

Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest
You can delete installed games more safely through other parts of the dashboard but I don't recall exactly where at the moment...
|
Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest
The same place on the dashboard where you choose to play your downloaded XBLA games, there should be a menu for the games you've installed - you can safely delete just the install from that menu.

Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest
I'm looking at some games to buy after buying the Arcade through Amazon this weekend. Quick question: Can the Arcade play original Xbox games?
I'm wanting Fable II and was thinking of getting Fable I as well. Thanks |
Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest
I believe you need a hard drive to play Xbox games. I think I remember reading that the required download exceeds 256MB.

I'm wanting Fable II and was thinking of getting Fable I as well. Thanks While Fable 1 is playable on the 360, not all Xbox Original games are. There's a list somewhere of what is and is not BC, but I don't have that link offhand. |
Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest
Thanks. I think I might just stick with the 360 games I'm looking at right now--Crackdown, Dead Rising, Fable II, Left 4 Dead, Mass Effect, and GTA: Episodes from Liberty City (maybe the GOW games too)--so I think I'll be good for quite awhile.
Am I going to have any problems playing any of those games offline without a hard drive? I found a list of BC games. In case anyone else is interested here's the list. |

There is a disc version of the GTA episodes.

Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest
The episodes are completely stand-alone and don't affect the main game in any way.

Duplicate post so no 360 misses out on a great deal:
Good deal at Best Buy for RewardZone members, courtesy of CAG: Text Gamer to 332211 to opt in for promos and discounts. They'll send you back a confirmation and then later send back this message: Best Buy RZ Gamer Deal:Show this msg & save $20 on Xbox Live Card. SKU: 9636222 Expires 11/14 RZ Members Only Limit 1. Show that to the CS and you get a year of Xbox Live for $30. It works with both the 12+1 Month card and the CoD MW2 mini-box that contains a 12 month card and a MW2 t-shirt (XL). Got one of those at lunch today. Note: You could also just text that message to yourself and it would work fine as well. |

Forgive me for being a complete text message dumbass but how do you text message yourself that particular message? I never text message so I haven't a clue but would like to get in on that deal.

Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest
You guys don't actually need the text, just the SKU. Just tell them to enter 9693222 and the package will come up.
It will not, however, work on 4000 point cards no matter how dumb you play :D |
Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest
I have Xbox Live until February 2012, so I'm fine. Let me know if they have a deal for Xbox Points.

Easy. You send a text message to your cell phone number. The message then shows up a few minutes later as received.
When I said I know nothing about text messaging, I meant it. |
Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest
You can send an email to your cell phone number that's received as a text message.
For example for ATT it would be something like this: [email protected] |

So just copy and paste the message and somehow send that message to yourself? I don't think I am understanding how you send that above message to yourself.
