It would be good if the main element of the game was creating the most devious death trap puzzles.

Any reviews or demos? Haven't heard about this. It has the potential to be really cool but will probably suck.

I went into it thinking it would be complete crap, but I actually enjoy it. There are a fair amount of puzzles, pretty good graphics, has the Saw mood, and kept me entertained. I would give it about a 7.5/10 or so. Saw fans should buy it, the rest of us should rent it.

That's what I said when I saw the game in a store yesterday.

And have the ability to upload the puzzles for other users to try and escape.

I agree for the most part. (Although I'm not sure anybody should buy it at $60 IMO, fan or not.) I went in with really low expectations, and there are a bunch of issues, like the terrible (and kind of out of place) combat system, but I think it's actually done pretty well in some areas. They really vary the puzzles a lot more than I thought they would've, and do a good job with the score and timed sections to really put the pressure on the player.

From what I've hear it's about an 8-10 hour experience for most. It is an achievement fest as well....if you're into that sort of thing.

My local Blockbuster and Game Crazy aren't even carrying Saw, so I don't have an option to rent unless I wanted to sign up for Gamefly (which I don't). I'll probably stick it out until a big price drop or try to trade for one on Goozex or the exchange board.

The game came out on Tuesday, I thought Blockbuster got games on the Friday that follows release day? Could be wrong but give it a few days.

I had them check and the release date in their computer said Friday but they had none on order and wouldn't be receiving any.

Rented it and played yesterday...not bad! Expected the worst but its pretty enjoyable. Puzzles are fun, combat is pretty damn clunky though.

Re: Saw: The Game -- Coming this Fall from Konami

I bought this with a gift card and just beat it yesterday, and I really liked it. The combat is clunky, but you get used to it. I highly recommend using the different weapons just to get the easy achievements and then using your fists. Everything is 10x easier just punching the guys.

The only issue with the game is that the 4th boss puzzle is RIDICULOUSLY, UNBELIEVABLY impossible and after that point the puzzles get pretty repetitive. What I did like a lot is that the puzzles always change, you can't just look up a walkthrough in most cases since everybody has different combinations and puzzles.
