This is the funny thing about the Wii.

I have owned a Wii twice and ended up selling it when I didn't play it and I ended up getting more for all of it then I paid.

If Punch Out this year is any good, I may snag another Wii. Other than that, the only way I could get back into the Wii is if they fixed the Virtual Console. I do miss me some Mario Kart though. Only game I had that could even remotely compete with any offering on the 360 or PS3.

Thanks to Rock Band 2 and XMas I have a lot of reasons to play the system lately (too many really). I've played it a few days a week every week since I got it back in May. 2009 looks to be a great year so I see the usage going up.

I don't get around to playing it single player. My only real gaming time is when the kids are sleeping at night, when I'm not working. So I end up logging on and playing Gears or Soul Calibur with my buddies every night.

That said it still sees play with the wife and my buddy once in a while, generally for smash bros, mario kart, or the like. I did play a hunk of Secret of Mana the week that came out on the VC. I keep meaning to get back to playing Zelda. It would see more use if we weren't so busy (wife is busy with grad school homework, work, oncalls, children, etc).

Also on the holidays and when there is visitors and stuff. It sees a lot of use. Still more than the PS3 which we own one game for...it gets used to play WALL-E and Tinkerbell pretty frequently for our 3yr old and 1.5 yr old (and occasionally a BD we want to watch or a PS2 game).

Pretty much only use mine if I have some people over, funny enough if I do play single player these days it's playing Gamecube games on the wii, otherwise if I'm just gaming on my own I'll usually just play 360

Had to go with hardly at all because it's definitely not weekly. Maybe that will change when I get off my ass and use Wii Fit but for gaming I'm almost always on my PS3 or WoW on the PC.

Even if people aren't playing it they're selling more than enough new Wiis to keep the software sales up there each month.

I gather to say that most Wii owners on the net are very closed minded. Anyway, I use mine more than any other console I own. I've been playing Wario Land almost every day since I received it last month. I have a PS3 but it hardly excites me in any way. I mostly use that for BDs and upconverted DVDs, and demos. The Wii has tons of niche games unlike no other console available. Plenty of shmups, 2D games, and traditional styled games that are actually fun on the Wii.

I got mine at launch and have steadily played it less until I moved in November. At that point, the Wii was unplugged, packed, and never unpacked. I will now be selling it. The few titles I'm interested in don't justify keeping the system anymore.

I use my Wii a few times a week. Since getting Guitar Hero III last spring, I've played that game alone probably an average of 2 hours a week. I'd say I've put in a good 15 hours on Super Mario Galaxy since getting that in November. Wii Sports, Wii Play, Wii Fit, Pinball Hall of Fame, and lately, F-Zero VC and Mega Man 2 VC get sporadic playing time as well.

Guitar Hero: WT, Rock Band 2, and Mario Kart are all very high on my wish list. I don't see myself tiring of the Wii anytime soon.

IMO, and considering the ridiculous amount of games available to them, I don't think they could have done a worse job with the VC. And now they are pretty much just pumping out a game a week.

I don't play it anymore.
The most I've played it is when it was released and played a lot of Wii Sports. Then a little bit of Wii Play.
Last year when we got Wii Fit I played it again for a couple of weeks.

I designated it my daughter's (9 years old) console, so I bought games for her from time to time, although she usually doesn't play them for a lot of time.

I got her Animal Crossing for Christmas and has been playing it a lot. She plays almost daily for a couple of hours.

I've had my Wii since Jan 2007 and i hardly play, when friends or relatives come over we play Wii Sports or Super Smash Brothers Brawl but it gets boring after 20 minutes.

I had it on two weeks ago for the first time since last June. I wanted to give Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles a second shot after renting the RE: Degeneration animated movie. Unfortunately I still can't get into that game... the rails kill it for me. But I did end up using it to play through RE0 again for fun. Does it count if I'm using it as a Gamecube?
