It sounds like she really likes old school adventure games, unfortunately the 360 isn't really the platform for those. The original xbox had some like Siberia 1 & 2, Broken Dragon, etc. but I don't know if they have the atmosphere she is looking for.
The DS has really become the platform for the adventure game, a game like Trace Memory is exactly what she is describing, and Hotel Dusk is another good adventure game.
Also, even a basic PC could run tons of adventure games from over the years. I know a lot of people don't even think of their PC being used for games because they think they need to spend a lot of money on a graphics card. But for those types of games, she could find a ton of older adventure games that would run on any pc.

She's a chick. She doesn't know what she wants.
She'll play a bunch of really hard games that abuse her, but because they look good she'll stick with them. Finally after years of tragic gameplaying, she'll realize that pretty graphics aren't as important as the story, and then she'll want to date you.

Indigo Prophecy and Dreamfall (The Longest Journey 2) fit into this category, they're both atmospheric and fun adventure/puzzle games (tho IP is a bit easy on the puzzle side). Myst III for the regular Xbox is also Backwards compat on the 360.
In terms of current gen, the genre is fairly dead (Zack and Wiki, as others have said, is one of the few, and it is incredibly generic. I'm glad they released Sam and Max on the Wii, but this is 360 discussion haha). There may be a few Xbox Live Arcade games that fit this, though, like the Penny Arcade eps.
The Lost: Via Domus game sort of fits this as well, but imo, it wasn't very good (and I love both Adventure games and Lost).
We could always start a petition for a remake of The 7th Guest and Shivers on the 360

Yeah, that's probably the closest thing. There's some minor gunplay, but it's barely a part of the game. It's not all 'isolated' though, as a lot of the game deals with interacting with the other castaways.

I suggest Prince of Persia.
1. It is a movie (in production)
2. It looks beautiful
3. It has a girl in it, nearly all the way through
4. And most importantly, it's EASY and you can't die

Good point. Dreamfall can be bought on XBL as an xbox original. I started getting into it (loved Longest Journey on PC - but had to get online to find out answers to almost all the puzzles - curse my short attention span) but then GTA IV and Ninja Gaiden 2 came out and I never actually finished it. To be honest, up until the iffy combat started happening - I loved it. Great storytelling, nice voice acting, etc. Need to devote more time to it after Prince of Persia, and replaying GoW2, and finishing Condemned 2, and doing those new missions for Mercs 2...good thing I get a long weekend for the Inauguration.
I'd probably recommend that one first. Just for the heck of it, I'll go ahead and recommend another xbox original - Psychonauts - absolutely brilliant.

The best example to give for exactly what this person is looking for would be the X-files game that came out for the original playstation a while back.
Here is a sample from the game but PLEASE NOTE - it doesn't show the game play mechanics at all (you'll notice where they are during the "stutters" while watching the video) basically, it's a point and click glame (even when walking) sorry - this vid is the best I can do and I'm pretty sure there is nothing like this available for the 360:
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/D5eNb1GjgC4&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/D5eNb1GjgC4&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
