Jeremy517 - Ocarina of Time is better than the whole of Vryce's list.

I guess I better vote then so I don't forget.

Vryce

It is nice to see some people voting against me because I made it past someone that they wanted to move on.

As well as some odd comments that my list has no good games on it.

And so that people don't take anything I might have posted in these voting threads the wrong way.

Spoiler:

I will say that this has been fun.

I may have gotten into the role a bit much as I'm not normally the way that I presented myself in these voting threads.

It was just fun to kind of play into the jilted gamer who's list was being slighted.

I just wanted to add some drama and excitement to an otherwise straight-forward voting thread.

No hard feelings all around. And had I lost after the first round, I may have continued to appear slighted, but at the end of the day, it was just a fun game that I enjoyed being a part of.

But apparently it isn't as good as Ocarina of Time nor is anything else on my list.

Ico may be, but it is hard to vote against nostalgia for some (I'm looking at you Goldeneye)

These are both true statements.

You should have lost in the first round.

You've toppled the tournament's unbeatable casual super-list and made it to the finals, of course you're going to get heat. At the same time, some of us are glad to see your more obscure list triumph to this point.

Toppled? Hardly. I forgot to vote, which would have given me the win.

No hard feelings though. However if we do this again I think a new rule should be that each round ends at the same time. Having one end at 2, then one end at noon, then another at 8 am doesn't seem right, and the reason why I missed my vote. It should be the same time across the board. We drafted at the same time every day (noon) so why not end voting at the same time?

And if someone hadn't edited their post, you would not even have had a playoff. You had a number of days to vote. We draft at the same time for obvious reasons. There is no reason the voting needs to start at a certain time. There is no good reason to wait until the last second to vote.

If an underdog beats the tournament favorite, even by one point, toppled applies. I would love to see a second one at some point, but with more contestants. This one had so few people, every list was pretty stacked and taking chances on non-casual stuff was minimal. I'd like to see the selections made with a lot more people involved, especially once they're deep in the rounds.

I was thinking the same thing. It would be the only way to really do this again without waiting a year+ to do it.

Ahh, I didn't realize that. So it would have been a tie either way. That's pretty funny. So why do I get all the blame for making you do a tie-break?

Because if he hadn't edited his post and you had not voted, then Vryce would've won that round outright.

I meant, straight up, no mistakes on anyone's part, it would have still been a tie. No post edit + my vote = tie.

Jeremy517 just because he also included a driving game and a rhythm game which I both love.

Another option would be to only allow games that weren't picked this time.

The lists would start to go down hill real fast by round 4 if we did that.

We'd probably have to choose sports games!

I wonder how many people are going to choose RB3 as their first pick?

I would like more contestants and less picks. 5 picks each. Even with 10 picks we see people commenting that they have not played any game from that list. It'll be harder to choose a winner each round... hmm.
