Anyone remember when the fall b2g1 sale at Best buy was last year?

Thanks. I was going to hold off on Assassin's Creed until then, but now I'll grab it with the $10 promo

So I have a 10% off birthday coupon from Best Buy that expires at the end of tomorrow and I'm having a tough time deciding what to use it on. It doesn't work on consoles, but should work on anything else.

I was thinking about putting it towards one of the Limited / Collector's Editions preorders to get the best bang for my buck. Far Cry 5, Shadow of War, AC Orgins, MvC, etc.

Any suggestions?

I already have a 3D projector and 135 inch screen, so no need to downsize :)

I'm thinking of just preordering AC Origins Gold Edition. Seems like the best bet discount wise. Hopefully skipping last year makes the game feel a little more fresh. It's been rough playing through AC Syndicate.

Not quite that Big...about 94-96" Sony 3D....and I know some like the 4K and all but no-way I can "Downsize" either after playing games that make you feel like it's up close and personal....go ahead and do some pre-order(s)...lots of good stuff coming Fall.

Oddly enough it doesn't look like the coupon stacks with GCU. It's either one or the other. Oh well.

Best Buy is giving $10 gift cards with preorders of Agents of Mayhem. This is different than the usual $10 reward certificates; they're physically mailing gift cards. (I mean "mailing" too; you can't do in-store pickup.) Weirdly, my gift card is currently scheduled to arrive more than a month before the game itself, although I'm sure that'll change.

The PS4 version of Rime is down to $20 on Amazon.

Did anyone ever play it? I was looking forward to it, but haven't heard much about it since it was released.

I did, at least for a while. It's probably worth it at that price. It's pretty if not very detailed. A simple puzzle exploration game. Not too hard - puzzles are simple and logical but don't require you to break out graph paper and do calculus to solve like a certain other recent game that also finds you stranded on a beautiful deserted island.

I played it on XB1. It reminded me of a Zelda game, minus the combat. You're pretty much exploring environments and solving various environmental puzzles to progress.

Mass Effect Andromeda is down to $19.99 at Gamestop (and XB1 at Amazon)

Xbox One Shadow of Mordor GOTY is currently $4

https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/stor...n/BPBKTSC16MWT

Note: I got an E-mail saying that it (regular version?) would be free this weekend for Xbox One and Steam / $3.99 for PS4 *shrug*

I am seeing conflicting information. Major Nelson made it seem like it was only free to play this weekend.

Shit for $4 I bought it. Figure if I get even a few hours of enjoyment, it is money well spent.

It's Assassin's Creed in Mordor. What's not to like?

I'm even tempted to play it all over again for $4 to A) get rid of my disc and B) get all of the achievements again on the GOTY edition.

Edit: Temptation won.

Almost verbatim what my friend told me. Assassin's Creed games never really appealed to me. So far I am enjoying this, though.

I love how ridiculously overpowered you get as it goes along. I figured I was halfway through when the second half of the map was revealed, but...geez, that just flew by since the tactics change.

Wanted to mention that it seems like Amazon has price matched some of the digital games from Xbox and PlayStation's mid-year sale. Your mileage may vary.
