I am hesitant to trade multiple copies of a game with all the reports of people getting banned from trading.

My best buy also won't PM b2g1. I think getting them to PM is YMMV.

Don't know anything about getting banned. They took the trades just fine on the computer system -- no overrides needed or anything. I wouldn't have done it if I thought it were in any way not allowed. I told them exactly how I got the games.
Perhaps. But I had no problems whatsoever. It's prominently advertised on Target's website and Best Buy themselves had the same sale last week.

Bottom line is that I parlayed a $5 AC3 pre-order and $65 spent on Target yesterday into:

Assassin's Creed III (PS3)
Bonus DLC for AC3
Upcoming $20 RZ credit
(plus the ability to price match any advertised price below $60 on AC3 in the next 60 days -- at least $12 back for a TRU PM next week)
-and-
Need For Speed : Most Wanted (360) --price adjusted to $29.99
Forza Horizons (360) -- price adjusted to $29.99

today. And still have $1.31 left on my gift card.


It's seriously the best video game deal I've ever been privy to, at least as for brand-new games.

Yeah, the computer will take the trades. No one really seems to know how they decide to ban you. I am not testing my luck though since the 50% and 100% extra usually makes them even better than GS.

Gave it another go last night. This time it went off without a hitch at Target...well, mostly. They only had two copies so for my third, I grabbed a $30 game for the kiddos for Christmas.

Of course, the hitch came at Best Buy. The guy wouldn't let me trade more than one copy of a each game. :sad: Gotta go back today.

So not as sweet a deal as you got but, if I'm doing my math right, this works out to:

Assassin's Creed III: $40 (+$20 credit)
Just Dance Disney (Wii): Free

You know, I'm always game for convoluted deals, but this one makes my head hurt a little bit. And I choose to spend more money so I don't have to think about what's going on. I'm just missing something. lol

Corvin, FYI. Best Buy online has that Disney Dance game on sale for 19.99 for both Wii and Xbox. Amazon price matched it as well.

Also,
1) Did you open up the games from Target or leave in the shrink wrap when you went to trade in to BB?
2) Let me know if you are able to trade your other games in to BB. My local one takes a DL # on trade ins so I wonder if they put you in the "system".

Yes, you are in the "system". You get credit for all your trade ins towards reward zone gc so they track everything one way or the other. Nothing should come up in the system though when you try to trade in a game that you've already traded.
