I actually paid money for this a year or so ago. As someone who was completely hooked by Wolf3D in the PC days (I never had an Atari etc. so it was really my first serious gaming experience--I got a new PC with that on it as freeware, and the splash screen completely transfixed me) and bought the add-ons and even a "random level generator"--that finally burnt me out--I had a lot of fun playing it. Unfortunately I got stuck on one boss and gave up probably a little under halfway through. I should give it another shot sometime.

Since Ascension is a buck I grabbed that. If I like it enough I'll get Nightfall. My Game Center username is Supermallet.

Nightfall is much more complex than Ascension. It is a really fun game but I have a few Ascension buddies who dislike Nightfall (Unclegamps being one of them). It has a unique mechanism where you chain cards to attack other players using colors on the cards. It is a fun deckbuilder.

Yes. The newest one Storm of Souls changes the game up the most and brings a number of awesome new mechanics to the table. Highly recommended.

If any of you owned the Sword & Poker games and don't have them backed up, they are once again available in your purchased list. Using the search function in your purchased list won't find them, at least they didn't for me, but if you scroll through your full list they should be there. They aren't available for purchase though, only the lite versions.

I'm still undecided about Nightfall. The games (which I've only played a few) take considerably longer. I'll add my cards to the chain, then I have to wait. Then I have to assign blockers or attackers, depending on if its my turn or not. It just seems like it doesn't work well played like that.

Now Ascension, on the other hand, phenomenal game. I could play the heck out of that all day long. Always up for more people to play against.
