It's pretty cool that you can play it through a big screen tv with an HDMI cable, using the iPad to steer and display the course map. The Wii U Experience today!
Don't even know who sells an apple to HDMI cable, but I bet it's amazing like that.

I just picked up an apple tv last week and with ios5 I wil be able to connect and play wirelessly to my tv. WiiU is a year behind tech that apple has today.

This is getting OT, but the streaming for the WiiU is the other way (console to tablet/controller), isn't it?

Granted airplay does that for video from a computer, but that's only for video, I'm not aware of anything that allows you to wirelessly stream a game to your ipad and allow it to be your controller. Not that it matters.

This is what I'm talking about.

Not exactly the same as the Wii U but very similar.

Meteor Blitz went free today. Seems like a decent dual stick shooter from my 60 seconds trial.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk

Almost all of the EA iphone and ipad games are on sale this weekend for $1. I highly recomend NBA Jam on the ipad. I paid $5, and it is easily worth $10 IMO. It controls really well and is one of the only games with a virtual stick that I think works well. Sadly, RB on ipad is not on sale.

Gameloft has 6 ipad games on sale for $1 including DH2.

Nice, I've been waiting for iPad Scrabble to drop to 99 cents. Wow, you are right about everything. I guess I'll pick up Dead Space, Monopoly, Tiger Woods Golf...

Did anyone ever give that 7 Little Words game a shot? II bought one of the extra sets of puzzles, after finishing the initial 30, and it's kicking my ass.

It is a freaking steal @ $1. It looks really nice and the way they implemented turbo shoving/shooting is really good.

Edit to add: If you enter DEM, REP or MAS on the quick play, you can unlock democrats, republicans and mascots teams. The developers choose some great pictures for the pols.

Really great game and makes you think. Some of the words are hard and some are easy. My strategy is probably same as others. Solve easy ones first or ones you know. Then work on the ones you don't. I sometimes try combinations that look like words and often that will find a match.

Same here, it just seems like the pack I bought (Lemonade) is a whole lot more difficult than Sunrise. I breezed through Sunrise, but seem to be working at a snails pace on Lemonade. Most of the words are in the 6-9 range.

No regrets on the purchase though. It's a great little game that really gets your brain working.

I haven't tackled that one yet. I'm about halfway through the Chocolate puzzle pack.

I'm into N.O.V.A. 2 on my iPad. It has Gyroscopic viewing so if you sit on a swiveling chair and spin around you can target your enemies. It really is an effective control method once you get used to it. 99 cents right now.

If you're enjoying it, you can buy the Unlock All package at the in-game store for 99 cents as well (it's on sale, usually a lot more).

Great time to own a new iPad 2. I've been buying these 99 cent games like a drunken sailor. Might splurge on the $1.99 CoD Zombies HD as well.

I had trouble getting into the NBA Jam store this weekend, but was able to get the Everything Pack for 99c just now.

Ended up getting 9 games (so far): NBA Jam, Tiger Woods 2012, Scrabble, Monopoly, Life, Asphalt 6 (nice Burnout clone), Dead Space, NOVA 2, and Pictureka. Passed on Battleship and Dungeon Hunter 2 for now. It's incredible how polished these games are for the price , pretty much PSP quality, maybe better for a fraction of the price.

Anyone not playing Ascension is missing out. They just released a light version that lets you play against the AI so you can sample it. Best 5$ I have spent on an iOS game so far.

You should pick up Dungeon Hunter 2 while it's 99 cents. It's a very polished dungeon crawler.

Did you like TW 12? I was pretty excited to pick it up, but the customer reviews were so brutal that it convinced me to pass.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk

I think Tiger Woods is excellent so far, I've only played a couple games, but the graphics and gameplay are top notch. For 99c, I see no downside.

It is a solid piece of work. So far the only real app that works well with it is the 100 Atari Greatest Hits app ($15), but I can see the potential. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.

As cool as the cabinet is, I have zero interest in playing 30 year old video games.
