Justify my Purchase: PS3 or 360? (Little Big Planet)

DVD Talk Godfather
Nah, skip it at $50. I rented it and finished in about 6 hours. Still worth putting on the list of 'must plays' at some point though. I played it back-to-back with God of War and enjoyed it more.

PS3 sounds like the way to go. If your kids like Popcap stuff, I think the PS3 has a pretty good lineup of downloadable games they might like as well. It's always tough to buy a console when you really only want to play one game (I still haven't gotten around to getting a Wii to play Mario Galaxy), but if and when you do do that, you're almost positive to find other stuff to play. Each system has exclusive titles, but there is a lot of stuff released across both the 360 and the PS3. I don't own a PS3, but I'm sure I would enjoy it if I did.
If you're a tinkerer though, you might want to get an original x-box for dirt cheap and throw XBMC (xbox media center) on it. I swear, this has changed the way I digest media. The 360 and the PS3 do a lot of this stuff now, but none can match the versatility of XBMC if you ask me.
