I really regret buying the maps already...I had no idea IW was going to release it so halfassed and lazy. They are really beginning to be the suck. These are the types of things that never happen with Treyarch.

All the game modes are stuck together.

So instead of how Treyarch did it...where you could play any match type you wanted with the new maps until they were added with the original maps...all match types are lumped together. So if you want to play domination only, you can't. TDM only, you can't. etc...

It is so unbelievably lazy it is disgusting.

I have no idea...it doesn't even list what types can be played. I know search and destroy, tdm, domination, etc.. for sure.

You think so? I'm not saying it won't sell well, but combine it being $15 for so few maps and what a glitchy mess the multiplayer has become, I don't think it'll set a huge record. I mean, I buy a lot of DLC, more than I should, and I ain't buying this.

Yeah, but people are sheep when it comes to this game. They could have charged $30 and a huge bunch would still get it. I don't plan on ever buying it at the current price, but I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being the best selling DLC of all time. It doesn't make it a good value, it just means there are a lot of suckers out there. The shame is that this will set a new benchmark for future DLC in other games. Developers will see that people are willing to pay $15 for a small amount of new content, so they will charge the same.

maybe not the most units, but total dollars it will end up in the top 10 for sure. MW2 is still by far the most played game on the xbox...every day...even with all the mess....This is coming out at the perfect time, and being a 30 day exclusive will get a lot of xbox users to buy it just because. I don't think we will ever have real hard data though....

I agree, the set-up for these new maps really sucks. I don't want to play Capture The Flag or Search & Destroy. Just give me some TDM. Treyarch had much better options.

according to robert bowling's twitter they are going to mix the new maps into all gametypes and extend double xp to all gametypes as well starting today. did not much enjoy the moshpit style because i felt the need to change my classes after each match

well i downloaded the pack and the patch. however i cannot load a multiplayer match at all on any mode. it keeps searching and searching, but it won't find a match. before this patch and map pack i was always able to find a match in about 5 seconds. is anyone else having this issue? i am so thrilled that i spent $15 on something that broke my game. omg

I had no problems getting into matches with the new map pack at all. Having to play random game types is the issue I don't like. What's up with that? I'm trying to remember if it was the same with COD4's map pack at first?

Sold my game the other day...played for 2 or 3 days total online, but really didn't enjoy it as much as COD4. Thinking about checking out the Battlefield game.

I like the new maps. They offer advantages for both short and long range players. Salvage is perfect for shotgun aficionados.

You just haven't tried playing the other game modes. I thought the same thing then tried team deathmatch, 3rd person tactical, and a couple others and I played on the new maps. If you don't have them you are just booted from the playlist.

Well, it seems my match finding issues are over. I was able to play a couple of hours last night. The maps are pretty "meh" IMHO. I don't like Salvage at all. Bailout and Storm are decent, but nothing to rave about. I don't have issues with putting COD4 maps in the game, I just wish they would have chosen different ones -- Crash is ok, but I have always despised Overgrown.

Had a hard time joining a game this morning. There were plenty of players online but it just took forever to connect....and when it did it was a game on Estate which I fucking hate. Anyway.....

I'm glad to have new maps but I really don't like the geometry of them as much as I hoped I would. I'm sure as I practice with them I will enjoy them more but now they just stress me out. I never really play much other than Team Deathmatch so when they had the new maps in they own playlist it really force to try some modes I never really messed with before.

The way I look at the price for the map pack is this:
The amount of hours I play this game it is worth it.
The only other game I will buy on release/full price is Split/Second. I don't buy alot of games so I reckon if I spend a total of £65 on these games in 1 year for hours of play I'm happy.

After realizing I hadn't touched the game since Jan., I sold it today for four DVDs and $20. Not bad since I got 70+ hours worth of enjoyment from late Nov. through Jan. from it.

I'm thinking of snagging BC2; for the people who got sick of MW2 and went to this, does it fill the void?
