I run around with scavenger on a couple of set ups with an SMG and I still have to reload no matter what. It doesn't automatically reload. But the point is moot anyways since he's using SoH Pro AND he does run out of ammo. So the only explanation is extended mags since he's not using any sight, silencer, grenade launcher, etc and is not running Bling.

That's just letting you know you picked up ammo. In Hardcore, you just get a little sound and a blue + sign.

Played 4 or 5 rounds of FFA last night and the care package grenade glitch seems to be getting out of control. I played with different groups each time and every game had at least one douche running around stabbing people at double or triple the speed of a normal sprint. I'm at Level 65 and originally thought I'd get to 70, prestige and then play a little bit more. If the glitchers remain as prominent, though, I think I'm about done with this. Sucks, as I've finally got to the point where I'm good enough to call in harriers and pavelows pretty regularly in normal rounds.

Quick question: how do I play public games with friends? I know we can start a private match but I'd like to jump into a game with other random people and preferably be on the same team with a friend. I always see people with clan tags grouped together on a team, but how do they access the same game? And is there something else that needs to be done other than setting the clan tag? I once set a random clan tag and ended up in a game with someone with the same tag but we were put on different teams.

I believe you just create a party with them and the host moves you around to the different games. It should keep you on the same team as long as you are in a party. Some modes won't allow party chat and it will kick you out if you aren't in game chat so keep that in mind. I would assume clans are joining games in a party as well.

I don't think I've ever "created a party". I assume that's one of the options in game?

You can do it w/i Xbox Live or the game itself. On the menu, there is an "invite" option and you can set up a party. The person who sets it up is the host and controls the movement of the party. Fair warning people get kicked out of parties a lot (from my experience) and you'll keep sending invites out.

Be aware - there is a difference between a cross-game party (with party chat) and a party to play CoD (no cross-game chat).

Start up CoD. Choose multiplayer. At the bottom should be an option to invite friends. You want to invite them but not into party chat. Then once folks are in your lobby choose to find a match and you should all go in together.

One warning for all this. Lets say you get into a room with a bunch of glitchers or cheaters. The party leader needs to back out of the game first (quit or just hit B to back out when you are in the screen that lets you veto a map). If the party leader backs out first then when the rest of the party backs out they will automatically be placed in his room. If someone else backs out before the leader then they will need to be re-invited.

Yeah, it sucks. But the feeling when you see them running up to you, and you gun them down, knowing you stopped another streak.....

Plus, if they want to play hardball, then you should, too. Make a custom "douche class" Marathon-Lightweight-Commando/Ninja and show them how it feels.

That's what I did... it works too. I had several games this evening with a 2:1 ratio and had a 17 killstreak using all my rewards. If you can't beat'em, join'em.

I love being called a cheater because I "can't have more than 1 claymore" when fuckos come look for my lil sniper ass and I have Scavenger Pro on and go 8 - 0 against them using only claymores.

I don't see why being a knife'r is considered being a douche. They're using a fucking knife. You have a gun. If you can't shoot them before they run up and stab you, then I think we know who the poor player is.

I don't see the big deal either. If you're a halfway decent player they're nothing but easy kills. The best is grabbing a high spot and picking them off when you see them running around.

It's not the knifer that is the douche part. It's the holding of the care package grenade to increase your speed to knife even faster.

Basically, you almost lunge through a hail of bullets, and stab the other player. There's no skill at all, it's just luck.

What nickdawgy said. It's a glitch. Basically, they get four kills in a row to get a care package canister, then run around with that in hand. They run twice as fast and basically just zip around maps getting knife kills.

It's pretty lame.

What's with the glitch games where everyone runs at 100mph?? It's like sliding on ice when you try to stop. I just don't see how these glitch games continue to manifest themselves and why people choose to play them.

I don't have a link, but I read that IW has said the care package canister speed boost was intentional because it's designed to let you quickly get to a spot to throw it. This is an exploit of that, apparently, and not so much a glitch from their perspective.

Weird. It seems like if they cared they could make it so your character had an animation putting up the canister before drawing out the knife. Something to lag that process a little bit while still maintaining the speed burst to get to a spot to throw the canister. :shrug:

It is an irritating exploit but isn't anything compared to the noob combo in the Halo 2 days. :lol:

Yeah, or disable your knife entirely when you're holding it. It seems like everyone would be better off just to get rid of the speed boost entirely.
