I was hoping this would slip past most people. I won't do the chicken move and select the Wii version.

Allowing the same game to be drafted on different systems doesn't seem right.

I thought so too, so I'm glad I second guessed myself and chose it today. Surprisingly I still have 15 games out of a list of only 25 games I started with still in play.

I'm on vacation next week so I need to remember to hop on at noon to post.

I agree, but I also think it's too late to change it.

Jeremy517 12-04-08 11:10 AM

Gears of War 2 (Xbox 360)

I don't think anyone has done it yet, so it could probably still be changed.

I dunno. I think it would be fair to change it on Monday. Give everyone tomorrow to get their duplicates in if they want.

I really don't think it is too late, since nobody's tried to do it yet. I just assumed we couldn't.

Maybe we'll just consider it a unwritten rule and whomever tries such a thing will be cursed for all times (or at least until the end of the tournament).

My vote in favor to change it. No duplicates.

edstein 12-04-08 11:13 AM

Are we skipping Saturday and Sunday?

It is explicitly stated in the rules that it is allowed, so if anyone does it and the rule doesn't change, they shouldn't be punished.

Corvin's idea of changing it on Monday sounds good to me, if we don't do it right away.

mattysemo247 12-04-08 11:14 AM

Yep, I agree. That should be changed.

edstein 12-04-08 11:15 AM

Orange is the commisioner. He should make the call. This is not a democracy.

lordwow 12-04-08 11:15 AM

My bad, I thought Fallout 3 had been picked on 360. Then I'm for the rule change.

orangecrush 12-04-08 11:15 AM

I think it is fine to do. You only hurt yourself. Most people associate multiplatform titles with a certain platform. I think most people esteem the GC version of Resident Evil 4 more than the Wii version for example.

Correct. Not everyone is a level 99 internet super nerd, so we have to stick with hours that comply with time wasting at work.

That's true, even though I played Okami on the Wii I know more people associate it with the PS2, hence my choice. Whomever gets there first will more than likely get the dominant version.

Raul3 12-04-08 11:20 AM

Wow! Just the third round and we already have:
-3 GTA games
- 3 Zelda games
- 4 FF games
- and 7 Mario games! (2 Kart games)

orangecrush 12-04-08 11:20 AM

Updated post #2.

Note to hitman tommy: If you don't select 2 games by tomorrow 12PM EST, you vacate your seat and anyone else (not currently participating) can take your spot by selecting 3 games at that time.

Raul3 12-04-08 11:22 AM

Who's first in the queue?

Fandango 12-04-08 11:23 AM

Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS3)

Tells you something about who has made truely classic games. I find the selection process tells us something about the drafters. For example, Groucho has only ever owned Nintendo systems and stoped playing video games in 1998.
