The Singing Games Thread.

Lips, Karaoke Revolution: American Idol, Lips, Singstar, singing along to Rockband, etc.

I have Lips and KR:AI and want to get KR:AI II and RB2 in the next few months.

Anyone have Lips and want to duel? I love that game.

I thought there was no online play in Lips.

I am really curious to try it, but I will only be using the game's import song feature. I haven't seen any in-depth reviews of that.

I am the #1 fan of the import feature Already have 157 songs. Did it through USB stick. You do have to do 3 clicks per song you want to add, but it copies it to the hard drive.

It is soooo much fun, and it scores you on pitch. Get some lyrics off Google, and I think it's better than the built-in songs (because in the regular more the singing is off-sync with the word marker and according to the bulletin board there's no sync feature).

Anything you want to know about the game, ask me

This is the best game I've ever bought (it's the first karaoke video game I buy, though. I'm getting KR:AI 1 today).

There's dueling through Xbox Live to see who gets the best score in the same song.

It will rate you, but there are no lyrics on the screen and you can't generate or import any which is a disappointment.

How brilliant would it have been to import lyrics as a text file and have it as pages on the screen? Press right button to go to the next page and left to go the previous page.

How brilliant would it have been to produce wireless microphones compatible with Rock Band and Guitar Hero games?

I think there should be one "Official" thread per game to keep conversations separated. It's a video games forum. Why do we want to squish everything together into just a handful of threads?

Because nobody looks past page one for anything, which is also the reason why the number of sticky threads is low.

There generally IS one thread per game. But when there are genre's of games that people play, lumping them together is a good thing. that way all relevent data for a given game type can be contained. Also, this way we don't have "why doesn't my lips mic work in rock band" in one thread, "why does't it work with GH:WT" in another - it can be contained in a general music thread.

People just want to complain, don't they.

Having a singing thread separate from a music thread (Rick Band, Guitar Hero discussion) is in my opinion a good compromise between putting it all in the 360 thread and having separate threads for each one of them.

And like to complain about threads.

Don't you have a DLC post to update?

It would be nice to have the first post list the available download content for Singstar and KR:AIE series. The PS2 Singstar titles appear to have a much better tracklist than the PS3 version, so I haven't bother to upgrade the series yet. But I did pick up KR:AIE2 since there is a decent selection of downloadable songs from Encore 1.

I'll work on the list this coming week

Wow, KR:AI is hard, Lips is MUCH easier, but I think that's because AI shows me where I go wrong, that arrow is brilliant, and it helps me get to know my voice (I suck at singing, BTW). I'll be getting #2 so I don't want to download anything to 1.

BTW at Rick Band. Hot!
