Reverse Sheep round two: Nintendo

I plan on doing a few rounds of Reverse Sheep, where each round has a specific theme. The theme of the first round will be Nintendo and games on Nintendo systems. The second round will be XBox/360. The third (although someone else might have to help write the questions for this one) will be Playstation. I might do a fourth round with Other. There will be a winner for each individual round, plus a cumulative winner.

THEME RULE: Since these are theme-specific rounds, your answer must fit the theme. For example, if the round is Nintendo and you give an answer that would be right only if Playstation games were to be included, your answer would be wrong. A right answer might be a game appearing on a Nintendo console, or a game developed by Nintendo.

Rules:
  • You want to give the answer that you think will be given least often by other people. For example, if the question is "Name a game that has Mario in it", a bad answer might be Super Mario Bros. A good answer might be Mario Teaches Typing.
  • You get one point for every person that gives the same answer as you, including yourself. For example, if you and ten other people said Super Mario Bros, all eleven of you would get 11 points. No points are given if you are the only person to say an answer.
  • Lowest score wins.
  • No using Google, Gamefaqs, Wikipedia, IGNing, etc at all. Pull the answers out of your head, not from other sources.
  • Private message me your answers. Do not post them in this thread or tell anyone else.
  • To make it easier for me to score the results, please list your answers one per line and don't number the items.
  • Incorrect answers in reverse sheep get the number of points for the answer with the most votes + 1, making it worse than giving the worst correct answer.

Remember, you want the answer that you think nobody will give!

For the purposes of this theme, if I say "console", I mean one of NES/SNES/N64/GC/Wii. If I say "portable", I mean one of GB/GBC/GBA/DS.

Questions:
  1. Name a village/town from a console Zelda game.
  2. Name one of the top ten best selling games (worldwide) for the SNES.
  3. Name a game that uses the NES Zapper.
  4. Pikmin come in a variety of colors. Name one of those colors.
  5. Name a game where Wario is a playable character.
  6. Name a console game that has Super in the title, but was not on the SNES and does not have Mario anywhere in the game.
  7. Name any of the good characters from the Donkey Kong Country series
  8. Name a first-person shooter for the N64.
  9. Name a planet from the Metroid series.
  10. Name a Wii Ware game that is currently available in the US.
  11. Name a playable character from the Castlevania series.
  12. Name one of the portable Kirby games.
  13. Name a boxer from the Punch-Out series.
  14. Name a game that was developed or published by Sega, but appears on a Nintendo console, not counting games that were only on Virtual Console.
  15. Fill in the blank with a word that correctly completes the title of a game. Pokemon ________

Answers are due by Monday, November 24th at 3PM EST.

I threw in and I know I'm going to get thoroughly raped on the Kirby question.

The second question is sort of a pain in the ass.

Those are some tough questions. I'm stuck on 6. As soon as I can think of one for that one I'll submit mine.

I assume booting up the Wii or looking through my old NES carts is not going to be cheating.

It is probably against the spirit of the game. The answers should just be pulled from your head.

Booooooo!

The game here should be to try to figure out how everyone else will answer and go in the other direction, not to gauge everyone's knowledge of obscure Nintendo trivia. Seriously, I'm supposed to know which games were developed by Sega off the top of my head?

Anyway, I could answer about 3 of these without resorting to Google or wiki, so I won't be playing this round.

If you don't open this up to Google and Wikipedia, you are going to only get like 5 people. Who the hell knows the names of towns in Zelda or planets in Metroid?

I managed and I sat there for a while thinking on most of them. They are definitely hard to come up with one answer, let alone a calculated answer.

Still no google or wiki this time as I've already submitted . Maybe next round if it is hard like this.

I'm in for this one. I'll have to guess on the Pikmin one though. #14 I think I have an idea. I remember Zelda towns because I used to make fun of them with friends.

I already have five people.

Almost everyone who has played a Zelda game should be able to think of at least one town. You'll kick yourself when you see some of the towns. Ditto with the Sega question.

For the best-selling SNES game one, part of the challenge is thinking of what might be on the list. Almost everyone can come up with the top seller, but how another?

I can tell you this right now: Missing one or more will not keep you out of the running.

OK, OK. Just know this: if JasonF isn't playing, so what is the point

Luckily, I was only stumped on one or two answers. The Sega/Nintendo one was one of them...I guessed, we'll see if I was right.

Edit: Just wiki'd it, and I was right...now I just hope no one else picked it.

Working in a video game store at one time definitely helped out.

I'll change the Sega question from "developed" to "developed or published". If anyone who already submitted wants to change answers, PM me. I don't think it really opens it up that much though (tehre are already a ton of answers), but maybe it will clear some confusion.

Doesn't change my answer. However, if you plan on a Sony or MS thread with questions like this, there is no way I can compete.

I'm assuming the Metroid planet doesn't have to be one that is visited by the player.

Entered, but I think #9 should be disqualified. I'm highly skeptical that anyone can name more than one planet from memory.
