Disney's Sing It - Thoughts? Reviews?
There's no reviews out for this, but I'm hoping it would be a fun game for my 6 year old and her friends. Anyone have any information about this? Track list? Quality? Thanks in advance.

Hate to bump this to give you false hope, but I have the same issue with lack of information on this. How can it be so poorly marketed?
I would have got it for the 360 at $40 without a Microphone (as I already have 3 USB mics), but that's only a Wii option because they assume you already have HSM: Sing It and its mic (which I do, but that's not the point
).
I've resigned myself to waiting until after the holidays when Target will eventually clearance it out and then it won't matter what's on it or what the reviews say.

Thanks for the false hope!
Seriously, you'd think Disney would be marketing the Hell out of something that contains Hannah Montana and High School Musical songs. Is it that awful? Even if it's awful, why wouldn't they market it? It's very confusing and frustrating. I was thinking of getting it for the Xbox, since we've got a Rock Band mic, but I'm willing to get it for any platform, as long as I see a review somewhere! Even Amazon is bare.

I'm not the target audience for Disney Sing It, but even I have to admit that the game's loaded with catchy tunes and fantastic videos that will appeal to anyone who's into pop music. But despite nailing the setlist for the Disney demographic, I wouldn't review these music videos any more than I would review the cut-scenes in a role-playing game. It's the game part of this game that stinks, and the rest of it should have just been a DVD.
Sing It boasts 35 songs from Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana, High School Musical, Aly & AJ, The Cheetah Girls, and the like and both single-player and multiplayer modes. However, it's nearly impossible not to notice the game's pitch-tracking issues (with the possible exception of the "You're On Your Own" mode, where pitch cues don't obscure the video). While it does generally recognize the correct pitch on longer notes, the note tracking for short notes is poor enough to frequently break your singing streak (and hence, your score multiplier).
The big problem is that instead of scrolling the lyrics at a constant pace, Sing It jarringly pops in phrases of varying durations that are sometimes so short that by the time you've read the one or two words in the phrase, they've already left the screen. Worse yet, the game assigns a pitch to every word -- including rapping and just talking -- making certain songs just plain frustrating. And yes, the best way to get a high score in Sing It is just to hum every pitch without singing a word. Not that it matters, though -- it has no way to fail or songs to unlock.
In any case, all four console varieties of Sing It perform similarly, though the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions have noticeably higher-quality videos (which are sadly replaced with video from your PS3 or 360 camera by default, if attached). However, I sometimes noticed rhythmic clicking from the vocal audio playthrough on the Wii version, a definite no-no in any singing game. On the other hand, the only way I could recommend any version is if you absolutely must have these videos and don't mind shelling out new-game money for it. Otherwise, save it for the CDs and DVDs.
