Someone on ScoreHero has said that the next two week's DLC battles were up for a short period. Obviously, this cannot be confirmed, as Harmonix has taken them down (along with the Orbison one), so take it as rumor for now.

I'd be down for Kravitz and Steve Miller, although I was severely disappointed with the Steve Miller track in GH:WT.

Same here for some reason...oh..because it was in GH:WT.

Adam Tyner 12-31-08 02:13 PM

I'm not much of a Steve Miller fan, but I'll admit to buying "Jet Airliner" in a heartbeat if they ever make that available as DLC.

UncleGramps 12-31-08 02:40 PM

Not a huge fan of Kravitz, but I'm interested in the Steve Miller tracks.

aktick 12-31-08 04:26 PM

Hoping for Swingtown from Steve Miller sometime. :fc:

GoVegan 12-31-08 04:39 PM

Those Steve Miller tracks are the first I've noticed having the "requires a vocalist" tag. That's kind of interesting.

xmiyux 12-31-08 04:50 PM

I  over the Steve Miller tracks.

I might even get Are You Gonna Go My Way by Kravitz.

It's just for the BOTB challenge, its pretty typical to restrict/require certain instruments for those challenges.

GoVegan 12-31-08 05:06 PM

Oh. Duh. That makes more sense. Thanks.

argh923 01-02-09 03:16 AM

I'd buy Are You Gonna Go My Way, but that's about it...more crap DLC for me. :(

Walker Boh 01-02-09 08:32 AM

Hooray for Steve Miller Band ... I hope it's true, and that we get more than those two.

but what does that have to do with the actual song? I didn't find that song as fun as i thought it would be. Would it be any more fun to play in RB? I doubt it, and that is why I won't pick it up.

Drum Hell 2
http://www.pmsclan.com/drumhell/

Two of the top RB drummers (phr34k & someguy) are currently score-duelling *every* song on expert drums back to back. It is estimated that this will take about 50 hours or so.

I watched a couple hours of Drum Hell I with just phr34k and it was crazy! Dude was still 5-starring stuff easily 26 hours in. That man is a beast!

Shagrath 01-02-09 01:05 PM

Here's another link to Drum Hell 2, as a few people said they can't access through the first link.

Claudette
In Dreams
Mean Woman Blues
Oh, Pretty Woman
Ooby Dooby
You Got It

All tracks are masters. Tracks will be available each for $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points) or $9.99 (800 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360) for the full pack. The Roy Orbison pack will release on Tuesday, January 6th on Xbox 360 and Thursday, January 15, 2009 for PS3 (due to the holiday break).

I know it broke early, but this is the official announcement that a) confirms the Orbison 6 and b) confirms there is nothing else.

Free song if you buy all 6.

aktick 01-02-09 01:37 PM

Oh, Pretty Woman and You Got It for me. Maybe I'll grab another one or two if I'm in that kind of mood.

 = joke

I will try to be moar serious.

Mikael79 01-02-09 01:52 PM

Only The Lonely and Running Scared would have been nice, but I will buy anything they ever release by Roy Orbison, so I'm pretty happy.

To those who don't know the song In Dreams, check out the movie Blue Velvet by Lynch, and you'll thank me later! :)

By the way, I'm a little confused on why some gaming sites are labeling Orbison as country music.

So they're gonna drum for 50 straight hours? nuts

edit: Nevermind, he just mentioned they are gonna take breaks

Ouch ... so we didn't get a PSN update yesterday, and now it looks like we won't get one next week either.

lordwow 01-02-09 02:33 PM

Ya, You Got It & Pretty Woman for me. Other songs depending on if they have a great chart.

Yeah you will. This week's songs come for you guys next week. Then the Orbison tunes come out on the 15th with the regularly scheduled pack and everything will be back to normal after that.

phr34k did Drum Hell I in about 26 hours (280 or so songs) with only one small break. I don't think their breaks are going to be extraordinarily long. Just long enough to maybe eat a sandwich and go to the bathroom or something.

Pretty awesome that someguy (the one of the left) went up to Canada from Texas to do this thing. They're taking donations for United Way and are hoping to raise 10K for them.

devilshalo 01-02-09 04:24 PM

Wooo... saving money in the new year.
